JMarshall knows about it and is thinking about solutions. - Livin - 2009-09-20 01:14 I've been testing using Kricker's builds and so far I'm happy with everything BUT 1 item... so I wanted to see if others are noticing it also... Slide Show Screen Saver looks horrible when the pic pans/moves? All sorts of jaggies, all over the screen. Video playback and screen animations are not affected - they look perfect. Anyone else see this issue? setup: C2D E6750, 4GB RAM, XP SP3, Nvidia 9500GT Gave up on Windows7 - beagleboy - 2009-09-20 06:06 I had an old copy of XP Pro sitting around so I decided to give that a go with my HD4550 card and hey presto this setup works perfectly. Some minor tearing at 1080p on my projector. PS: Love the new Rapier skin as well and the latest apple trailers look great. SVN 22943-DX Core2 Duo E6850 @ 3.00GHZ/RAM 2GB Radeon HD4550 512MB WindowsXP Pro SP3 External USB SPDIF via receiver 5.1 Media streamed (Synology/Windows Home Server) Cheers BB - rootyb - 2009-09-20 06:44 Trying out 22951 (dx version, obviously). Running pretty well, but it looks like videos' aspect ratios are a little off. Vids that are 16x9 have black bars on the edges, and I've been noticing some subtle horizontal smooshing of other videos. Aspect Ratio calibration doesn't seem to have any effect. http://ownedgear.com/shared/1.jpg (example) http://ownedgear.com/shared/2.jpg (top-left calibration) http://ownedgear.com/shared/3.jpg (bottom-right calibration) http://ownedgear.com/shared/4.jpg (aspect ratio calibration) Thoughts? /edit: Just saw that some other people have had this issue. Didn't see an answer, though. I've tried adjusting the video scaling method via the OSD. Same problem, though. - naicols1971 - 2009-09-20 17:12 rootyb Wrote:Trying out 22951 (dx version, obviously). - Hitcher - 2009-09-20 22:32 I had that problem but fixed it by adjusting the Custom Mode's 'Zoom Amount' and 'Pixel Ratio', setting it as Default. Then when I went back to Normal and changed them both back to 1.0 everything was fine. - azido - 2009-09-20 23:05 Hitcher Wrote:How do you set the Windowed resolution in these builds? it adopts your current desktop size for fullscreen. windowed will always stay at 7220x480. jmarshall mentioned earlier the builds are not able to store custom settings for windowed screens right now, so you can resize by hand, but xbmc won't remember. - zag - 2009-09-20 23:35 DX builds working great here and uses less CPU than the normal builds. Thanks for the great work on this. - Livin - 2009-09-21 04:19 seems like the video playback is dark compared to the GL version... and there is not way to control the video playback contrast/brightness either? - azido - 2009-09-21 07:59 Livin Wrote:seems like the video playback is dark compared to the GL version... and there is not way to control the video playback contrast/brightness either? did you have a look into video osd while playing? |
