I hope this gets resolved soon

try 24001 from mindweaver's link. it is fixed.

When I had read on the Changelog that the annoying 'Pause with Digital Passthrough' bug had been fixed (in 24004 by Charlydoes), I was anxious to get an updated version. Well, I just installed 24020 from mindweaver's link and I am over the moon. 98% of my issues have been resolved and the DirectX version IMO has now surpassed the OpenGL version. I love how seamlessly it works with Windows 7 Aero (I can switch back and forth from Windowed to FullScreen). I'm even enjoying the limited version of Milkdrop. I can't wait until presets start working in Milkdrop. Kudos to everyone involved!!

Revision 24020 from nightly builds works like a charm that means i'm good to go as that was my last bug that
needed fixing(that i know of) big thanks to those guys who fixed it

24020 works fine, both keyboard and digital audio, and finally it can flag H264 correctly in TS files !!

Tested r24020 DX.

No reason to stick to the GL Builds anymore - Great Work. Alt tabbing from fullscreen to Windowed has been working for a while.

Thanks for porting the visualisations also.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to stick to the GL builds for a little bit longerConfused I've just installed the DX version on my HTPC and Music playback is spot on and the visualisations are a real bonus but unfortunately the video playback is still choppy. I'm under no illusions that its most likely down to my hardware not being man enough for the job, but its does mean I'm stuck with the GL builds Sad

How is it choppy? Great playback with my X2 4400 AMD with an ATI 4350 - Not great hardware by any stretch.

That's better then mine. It's an old P4 3Ghz with a gig of ramConfused

my p4 3ghz also lags with dx version, yet runs 720p clean as a whistle on gl

me thinks dx just needs to mature a little b4 its ready for older hardware.

maybe dx version relies more on decent gpu then gl does?

After reading the good news about the lastest dx build I thought I would upgrade from my gl build and its awesome. I now am able to play 1080p hight bitrate mkv's which I was not able to with the gl build. My cpu load went from 85% to 60% now on my AMD X2 4800+.

Thanks again to all that have worked on the dx build...Big Grin

Does the DX builds still have these problems...

black bars on the sides?
playback darker than should be... a lot darker?

The bars on the side thing has been fixed for a while. My eyes are terrible at judging dark, so I can't help you on that one.

This all sounds great - thanks and congrats to all involved.

One quick question before I dive in - is Adjust refresh rate working again?

TIA

Livin Wrote:playback darker than should be... a lot darker?

Playback is slightly brighter on my system though this consistent with gl vs DX games.

- kulprit - 2009-10-27

Adjust refresh rate won't work for me at all. Also waking from sleep still offsets my xbmc screen to the bottom right corner of my tv. Will post a screenshot later.
