It appears as though it's looking for a local db, but I definitely told it I was using a MySQL db and entered the correct IP, port, db name, username and password.

Yes, it looks for a XBMC installation for use XBMC cache images, I would look not to test.

Normaly no, but you can try to install XBMC in XBNE PC.

If so, send me the zip of the directory "C:\Users\Kevin\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\Database\" and the file "C:\ Users\Kevin\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\AdvancedSettings.xml" and a copy of XBNE options screen.

Yes, I have XBMC and XBNE installed in the same computer. I got it to work by letting XBMC create a small local db. After doing that it would then find and load my MySQL db (both new and old). So it seems that XBNE wants to see a local db no matter what.

I figured out the reason why I just started having this problem. I recently deleted the local db I had on that computer while I was trying to troubleshoot some other db problem with XBMC. I didn't realize that doing so would break XBNE since I was using a MySQL db.
