My suggestion is to use another scraper for your missing movies like "mymovies".

Another question: is it possible to make the scraper to download the trailer? I use this feature a lot, and I'm worried what if movieplayer changes something...

I'm glad you like the scraper, actually you can just watch the trailers, you cannot save them.

Are there any plan to make an option to download the trailers? After that, and after xbmc gets base64 support, the scraper is a huge step, and I'm glad to offer you some beers for your hard work

Just one question: I'm trying to avoid the search issue for the unmatching movies by setting directly the movieplayer page url in a .nfo file, but without success; everytime the popup to select from standard search results comes up! Is this feature supported by your scraper?
Just as an example, I'm trying to add this movie to my library:
http://www.movieplayer.it/film/1569/out-of-time/
it's also available from google search (result number 11):
http://www.google.it/search?q=%22out+of+time%22+site:movieplayer.it&hl=it&lr=&as_qdr=all&prmd=v&ei=JpF1TPDNJdyT4gaGi5mBBg&start=10&sa=N

EDIT: I just updated my git repository with a small modification to the search url (the link is in the first post too) that greatly improve the movie search. Can somebody download and update it manually and report back how it goes?

as far as I know for my experience generally those movies can be found by the scraper using the original name

sorry for this offtopic question, but considering that users here are almost italian I would like to know your opinion.
I'm looking for a good scraper in italian for anime. This one is fantastic for movies, but movieplayer archive lacks in the home video anime (let's say.. typical anime for small children distributed almost on the home video circuit... i.e. scooby doo, low profile disney cartoons and so on).
Do you know a good archive for these titles? generally they are present on filmup but I think that there is not a scraper for this site... anything else?

My son is too young right now for watching cartoons, it's only 8 months old, but I guess It's better if I start thinking to take care of them too
I don't know a good italian site for anime and toons but if you think filmup is good enought I'll be happy to make the scraper.
Let's see btw what the other italian users think about it.

Doing a manual search in xbmc, "New Moon: Twilight Saga (2009)" is the first and "Moon (2009)" is the second in the list, nothing wrong with it.
Are you sure you are using a recent version of the scraper?

Hi, not 100% sure that's a scraper problem, but when I try to change fanart ("get fanart" button), and chose one from the list, sometimes the image won't download (progress bar stay at 0% than disappear). This seems to happen only for some fanarts images (for the same movie), others downloads corectly.
From log I read:
