- bananaman - 2010-02-02 I Installed rev27307-dx again and now got video. Only modification was to set dsplayer as standard. If i set system settings- audio to Digital and DirectSound -primary sound driver i did get digital audio out using dvdplayer. dsplayer audio was set to DirectSound: Realtek HDMI Output (ATI HDMI Audio) After that did get ac3 multichannel out but not DTS. Avi files played too fast with sound. Win 7 64bit with HDMI set to allow AC3\DTS\WMA out to receiver. log: http://pastebin.com/d69309e95 - chunk1982 - 2010-02-02 just installed 27340 and i get this while trying to play avi using dsplayer set as default http://pastebin.com/m7810212 mp4's and mkv's seem to play no problems at first glance [quote=bananaman]Only modification was to set dsplayer as standard[quote] now iv got opensubtitles osd + confluance theme hack + library wall view could this have something to do with my problems DEV'S? - eviltuna - 2010-02-02 Can anyone tell me if subtitles working with DSPlayer yet? can play 720p, not 1080i/p - Dam0 - 2010-02-02 http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/7794/dxvachecker.jpg dxvachecker shows i can play the res of 1080p, but when i play an mkv encoded as 1080i or 1080p it shows mpc decoder/ not using dxva debug log attached : http://pastebin.com/m34cce55 720p mkv play great with mpc decoder/ dxva thanks in advance, Dam0 - Balthazar2k4 - 2010-02-02 FYI, elupus has released the initial DXVA2 implementation for DVDPlayer. It has a few issues, but so far scalars, smoothvideo, and subs work. - oldpainless - 2010-02-02 Great work guys, I still get that error after starting 5-6 videos...but I guess thats something I will have to live with as its not really a big issue in real life. One thing I have noticed though, if you pause a film with dsplayer, it hogs all the cpu. Lastly, a future feature suggestion: any way of adding a visual marker if the mkv has chapters?...otherwise its hit and miss when you press next...if no chapters found, you get kicked out of the movie. K PS - also wanted to add, Im not using DXVA..not an issue for me....the main reason why I prefer DSplayer over DVDplayer is the image on DVDplayer is just way to soft. With DSplayer, you can use FFdshow to sharpen the image etc. - Jezz_X - 2010-02-02 oldpainless Wrote:Great work guys,Default skin already has that in more than 1 place - rd1979 - 2010-02-02 Well, often, the chapters have titles/names, it would be nice if that info was displayed as well. Much better than just raw chapter numbers. Lastly, getting kicked out of the movie because there were no chapters is very annoying. - oldpainless - 2010-02-02 Jezz_X Wrote:Default skin already has that in more than 1 place My bad.....so I guess the next logical question is a setting to disable "NEXT" in movie playback if no chapters found? K - Jezz_X - 2010-02-02 rd1979 Wrote:Well, often, the chapters have titles/names, it would be nice if that info was displayed as well. Much better than just raw chapter numbers. chapter titles in mkv's are also already supported (in some skins) I haven't added it to confluence mostly because the few I tried had super long names and basically it just took up too much space P.S this is getting way off topic of DSPlayer so please take it to another thread (once your sure it doesn't already exist) - blinkseb - 2010-02-02 chunk1982 Wrote:just installed 27340 and i get this while trying to play avi using dsplayer set as default We have already talked about that like 10th time! It's a bug in the mpcvideodec when not using dxva. Please make the effort to read the last 20 pages of the thread! Quote:Well, often, the chapters have titles/names, it would be nice if that info was displayed as well. Much better than just raw chapter numbers. Chapters' name are supported. Try a skin where they're displayed and you should see them. I will give a look at the next button, but, to be honest, it not really our priority right now. We have still much to do! Like said EVERYWHERE, subtitles aren't working yet... - ashlar - 2010-02-02 blinkeb Wrote:We have already talked about that like 10th time! It's a bug in the mpcvideodec when not using dxva. Please make the effort to read the last 20 pages of the thread! It's been corrected in new releases. In the past few days. - elupus - 2010-02-02 just use up/down arrow to skip chapters then you won't be kicked out, it will just perform a large seek.. (ie work all the time) Ps.. Well it supposed to anyway, but i'm not sure what the dsplayer does now that i noticed what thread this was in - oldpainless - 2010-02-02 Ok....had chance to check out the new "official" build (SVN) that incorporates dxva....I'll stick with the dsplayer build...why?....dvdplayer is not picking up either the correct colourspace or colour flag for hd material (ie 709)....still eats more cpu/gpu than dsplayer......and, via coreavc/ffdshow, you can configure the image exactly as you want it. Just my 2 cents. K - marc.aronson - 2010-02-03 I've installed the latest build (XBMCSetup-Rev27340-dx.exe) on my Acer Revo R1600 (Single core ATOM, ION LE, windows XP). I use mythtv to capture hidef recordings. I've set up two source in XBMC: 1. One is pointing to a mapped network drive on the myth box that contains the recordings. 2. One is talking to the myth backend using the "myth://" notation. When I play recordings from the first source using DSplayer the results are excellent. Smooth video and less then 20% CPU utilization. When I try to play through the second source using DSplayer the results are not so good. I see about 1 frame every 2-10 seconds and the bottom half of most frames is compromised of video noise. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Marc |
