Ah..! finally a GPU hardware acc. decoder!
So I download the last version (27497) install it and start it up (right mousebutton) and choose dsplayer and...... a freese, i can hear the sound but don't see the video. I use Windows 7 and Nvidia 9300. I also tried VRM9 instead of evr, the same result. So probably it doesn't work on 7 yet?
Hopefully it will in the next versions.

It should work on Win 7. Why don't you post a log.

Seb...

Latest build seems solid. 1 bug I have found however - auto switch res option seems to crash xbmc after 1 movie....letme know if you need a debug log.

having problem with dsplayer when using x264 files. i get sound fine, but i just get a static corrupted picture. using 512meg 4870, ati drivers 10.1, win xp 32bit
using build. 27478 and latest 27497. cpu usage is low as you would expect with acceleration and it also works on MEdia player classic home cinema. are there any settings to checkHuh

thanks in advance.

edit: seems to be ok now, with both 720p and 1080p stuff, hmmmmm

here the paste http://pastebin.com/m6fad7d27

Yeah, the debug log may help. I'm working on it right now

Like said a million times, when you report a bug or a problem, you must join a debug log! Else, we can"t do anything ...

Sure you guys will nail it!

Quick question - does XBMC have an issue with acs/dts pass-through over hdmi? The reason I ask, is I've tried both dvdplayer and dsplayer and tried to get them to pass raw ac3/dts out....but I get no sound (as you can see from my log I use ac3filtrer with dsplayer config)...but I can get sdif pass-through over hdmi using mpc...odd.

Ok guys! I've made a wiki entry for dsplayer : http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=HOW-TO:_Using_DSPlayer

I hope it will help some of you understanding how things work.

Don't forget english isn't my native langage, so, if you find mistakes, correct them :p

Not using DXVA - Ronner - 2010-02-07

It seems it doesn't use DXVA for me.

CPU: Core2Duo 6850
GPU: Nvidia 8800 GTX

Anything I did wrong? (using XBMCSetup-Rev27497-dx.exe with everything at default)

DSPlayer looks like its functioning correctly looks like your card doesn't support DXVA to me, you should run DXVA checker
