Nvidia 8800 GTX not supporting DXVA? Would sound quite odd imo.

I downloaded DXVA checker. What should I be looking for or what do I need to do with it?

Nop, you are not using dsplayer, but still dvdplayer. See the first post of the thread on how using it (you can right-click and select Play With... DSPlayer)

That card has a G80 Core and only has Pure Video 1 which doesn't support full H264 decoding

Check the guide below see what it says about your card

Yeah, yeah, can't you read a little bit the last pages of the thread? Bug reported countless times, and everytime the same answer : there's a bug in the mpcvideodec filter when not using dxva. You can use ffdshow the time the bug is fixed.

bah, im always sh*t out of luck Smile

Oh well, I was just testing DSplayer on my PC before implementing things to my XBMC htpc's, for which I will have to buy new vidcards anyway. They have a 7300GS and 6200LE right now, which both can not do any kind of hardware acceleration. If you have suggestions on a fanless vidcard to use with XBMC, lemme know!

Must say that I can't wait for subtitles to work with DSplayer!

Because you're not using ffdshow ! You're using mpcvideodec. The video settings page lists filters you're using, and not a choice of filtre you want to use. Read the wiki entry please : http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=HOW-TO:_Using_DSPlayer

There's a Nvidia GT210 that has passive cooling which has Pure Video 4 so hardware decoding on all popular formats assuming you only want it for video not gaming, GT220 might be better but I don't think there's a passive one neither are very expensive

damm im geting a headache. im using the Complete dsconfigfilter.xml and im on an acer revo

A lot of people do not use the mouse with XBMC. So in the wiki you might want to put that instead of right clicking you can hit the context menu which is brought up with the "c" key. Then from there you can select what player to play a video with.
