Not sure if it's my setup, or a sync issue with the build at the mo...but I had my panel set to 1080p 24hz...which was causing a/v sync issues...so I set my panel to 1080i 60hz and the sync issues are gone. I was playing a 24hz (23.98) mkv.

every video are decoded with ffdshow and i added a ffdshow installation with the xbmc installation we will see how you all like that

Thank you exactly what I wanted working,Big Grin (just annoying subtitles on FFDSHOW DXVA not working.)Rolleyes

my setup 1080p 60hz
plays all content with 23.98 clean
on some cheaper tvs (ie samsung phillips) u must disable some "optimations" and use the tv as pure display...

but sadly not all users have good tv screens

go to "start"->"ffdshow"->"DXVA Video decoder configuration"->hardware acceleration->put V on H264 & VC1->click ok. Big Grin

Installed this build, and set ffdshow as above. plays fine, but have lost 5.1 audio. In ffdshow audio settings I set it as 5.1. Is that wrong, should it be 2.0?

argh, crap.
Wanted to try setting back to 2.0 to try - now can't find where to do that

- christoofar - 2010-02-09

OK, figured out I needed to set passthru for DTS & AC3 in ffdshow.
Now working &...720P .mkv, between 1 & 5% cpu!

Not too shabby! Wink

Thanks for pointing that out there also something about the subtitles you need to enable the postprocess which is not on by default in the dxva config.
There also a problem with show property page from xbmc in fullscreen until i fix that bug you can use the fake fullscreen this way you will be able to set ffdshow options without any problems

There was a setting for "enable embedded subtitles" or something similar.

Right now im working only on external subtitles and blinkeb is actually working on the embedded subtitles anyway time to go to bed working 4 days in a row so i wont have a lot of time to code a lot in the next few days

i finally got this working with dsplayer!

but for some reason HD audio mixed into 2 channel, not 5.1
