Build 28917 on XP - tearing - [email protected] - 2010-03-28

hi,
everything is working great once again on XP using build 28917, however i have severe tearing - this did not happen with older builds ~(28016) when using full screen (unless fake full screen was selected). now i am using full screen (not fake) and vsync always enabled both from nvidia drivers and in xbmc. If i can provide with any help let me know.

christoofar, can you confirm whether you get tearing also or if it is something localized to my system..

Will do, though it will take a while, as I'm doing a freas XBMC install, so I have to go thru all settings again

how come i never get the music player part to work correctly in these dsplayer nightly builds, it plays stuff, but just a black screen and no way to get menu to pop back up?

are you on about playing a tune on the home menu after you start a tune and press Esc?
if so to get menu up press M

Had a quick test of Rev28917 and everything plays fine in XP now with the exception of Rars, anything I tried still in Rars failed

Nice work on solving the XP problem Smile

i was on about say playing a tune, then right clicking to go back into menu views whilst song playing, m worked, but now having issues with mouse not very responsive whilst a video playing and random crashing, back to a stable build me thinks

cheersSad

Just started up Party Mode in music, but no viz.
So went to Music setting to try milkdrop, but first selection was Waveform, but before I could scroll to next option it is showing error box (addon cannot be used, unknown error has ocurred). And of course now I can't get out of it to select milkdrop or any other since the box won't stop popping up no matter what.Sad

Just upgraded to rev 28917 on Win7 and I'm showing a high cpu load for any type of material including xvid. This occurs using either dsplayer or dvdplayer and its about a 50% jump on my cpu compared to previous releases. I did read others recommended to disable "Allow Programs On This System To Control XBMC" under Network but that had no effect. Can anyone else confirm high cpu usage with 28917 no matter the media type or player?

thanks

Edit: Others confirm the main trunk 28916 is the cause and NOT dsplayer.
