It looks gorgeous, smart as hell, has great features, and I couldn't live without it, but about once a month or so it won't build, goes absolutely crazy, an drives me nuts for 3 days. lulz - christoofar - 2010-04-01 prn_star Wrote:I know this is a little off topic but I just want to say: This is totally on topic. & I 100% agree. I've be searching for a media FE that is easy to set up & use, & XBMC/dsplayer is it for me! - oldpainless - 2010-04-01 nathanjones Wrote:I've always thought of SVN XBMC as a woman. I did not think DSplayer is complied in the unoffical SVN's....have I missed something? I guess he has another woman on the side! - steelman1991 - 2010-04-02 Has anyone succesfully compiled a build with the subtitle fix - I have tried several times and keep getting an error that the build failed - something about subtitle file failing to load (meant to take a note of the exact error)? Anyone else experience anything of this type. I am in the process of checking out the svn to a fresh folder - will see what happens. - blinkseb - 2010-04-02 steelman1991 Wrote:Has anyone succesfully compiled a build with the subtitle fix - I have tried several times and keep getting an error that the build failed - something about subtitle file failing to load (meant to take a note of the exact error)? What error do you have? - steelman1991 - 2010-04-02 blinkseb Wrote:It's a little off topic! What error do you have? Agreed, a tenuous link at best . At the moment an upgrade to rev26893 (I think that was the build), is compiling, previous attempts tonight failed to build at all after the initial failure (at least it tried to build) seems to have been rectified with whatever commits you made earlier this morning. Will let you know what happens. Will keep in this post, not to clutter the main thread too much - really excited by this development. EDIT - build seemed to go OK, but when I try to compile the installer I get continual sdl.dll not located errors despite the fact that it (and all other .dll files) are there in dependencies - working from the wiki - blinkseb - 2010-04-02 Some news! After a lot of efforts, subtitles are rendering correctly! Here a screen with arial 12pt : I'm very happy, it's the result of months of work! External subtitles are working well too, but I've only tested srt file, as I don't have any other format yet Still much to do, but it sounds great steelman1991 Wrote:Agreed, a tenuous link at best . You're good to rebuild xbmc - kimp93 - 2010-04-02 blinkseb Wrote:Some news! Great news! appreciate your effort. I will test it out soon. If you want, you can find some SAMI subtitle that I uploaded before. sample.smi should be good start to look at. http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/6285 - tiben20 - 2010-04-02 http://trac.xbmc.org/changeset/28965 Another really big piece of work - oldpainless - 2010-04-02 tiben20 Wrote:http://trac.xbmc.org/changeset/28965 looking good guys....cant wait to give it a try!.. k - buzzqw - 2010-04-02 have you ported the evr from mpc-hc to xbmc ? BHH - tiben20 - 2010-04-02 buzzqw Wrote:have you ported the evr from mpc-hc to xbmc ?Yeap its more stable and using the same base renderer. This is really long to entirely remove atl mfc without doing any errors. And also converting unicode to multibyte. oldpainless Wrote:looking good guys....cant wait to give it a try!..I Would also be happy to post a build but from here the subtitles part of the project are making the process crash. I had to remove the loading part of the subtitles in order to do my test. Ill just wait until blinkseb fix those problems and we will post a new build. - steelman1991 - 2010-04-02 tiben20 Wrote:I Would also be happy to post a build but from here the subtitles part of the project are making the process crash. Thank goodness for that was beginning to think it was me - been trying since last evening to compile a build - was almost driving me insane - will wait for a little while yet. |
