steelman1991 Wrote:Appreciate that and everything both of you have achieved - as I said purely nitpicking - my anal retentive side coming out.

Chopping and changing a lot with builds etc, has its own drawbacks - constant changing and tinkering with dsplayerfilter configs - did I read somewhere in the dim and distant past that these could be saved to appdata\xbmc folder somewhere - tried a search but uncovered nothing?

By the way thanks for the assistance with compilation issues - not a happy ending, so I think I will leave it to the experts in future.

You can save your dsfilterconfig.xml in your userdata folder. It will be loaded with the one in the dsplayer folder, but every rules or filter declaration in the dsfilterconfig.xml located in userdata will override those in the dsplayer folder Wink (not sure i'm clear :p)

Perfectly clear mate. You and Tiben go and enjoy some leisure time - you've both earned it - your work has inspired me to do something I should have done a long time ago and donated to the project well done.

Reading this inspires me. When I have time I will do a clean install too just to make sure.
And when I have a new job I will also donate! I just think its great you guys are working on this (and support XP) besides the work that is been done for the normal builds.

Finally, got a chance to test new build.
I tested external sami subtitles (smi). It is showing me subtitles. Great!
A few problems ;P

character set setting don't apply (dvdplayer and mpc-hc works with correct character encoding set)
subtitle with color tags appeared in black (works well in dvdplayer and mpc-hc)

Thanks for the feedback. Indeed, I've tested only with ASCII & srt file without tag. Can you post your subtitle file?

Thanks for quick response.
You can find couple of subtitles that I uploaded before.

sample.smi - I made this to be self explanatory. (color, font, even multi language subtitle), just English

real-world_single_color_custum_class.smi - some color tags with korean encoding

I just want to note that multi-language subtitle in a single smi file is supported by dvdplayer but not in mpc-hc. I would not worry at this stage.

Thanks! Damn, those subtitles look rather complicated Wink But if it's just a parsing issue, that will be easy to solve. So problem with charset and font color, noted Smile

has latest build been tested on WinXP yet (for DXVA functionality?)

Working here so far in my limiting testing. DXVA working, subs working. Very cool!Wink

Viz NOT working, even though it's enabled.

Wondering if anyone else experiencing this issue, When I playback an mkv with dts it works the first time but if you stop it and restart the mkv, xbmc hangs but the sound is still playing So I have to force quit xbmc and restart. If I disable the dts and just output 2.0 pcm sound I don't get this issue. Anyone else having this problem? Could it be my settings in ffdshow audio decoder settings, I have tried various things? This is happening on a Win 7 32 Hp mini with ION outputing over hdmi.

You should have the audio set as "passthru" in ffdshow.

Hi Tiben/Blinkseb

I am using latest build and subtitles are working for about 5 to 10 minutes and then it stops to show. If i stop movie and restart again it plays 5 to 10 minutes and then stopping.

Please let me know if i am doing any this wrong here.

Cheers

Viz does work after all, discovered I'd forgotten to enable it under music.Rofl
Subs under DXVA working, but fonts pretty small & can't seem to adjust it under Settings. Under default player they look bigger

Yep - seem stretched to me as well. Seb is aware and is looking at it - it was drawn to his attention a page or so back. Dont think the settings work other than for native DVDPlayer settings.

Appears to be as you describe.
Other than that, seems pretty stable.
