Zodler Wrote:Hello, could you please help me. I just discovered this software. I am using zoomplayer with ffdshow under Windows 7 x64 with no problem. However I cannot make DSPlayer to work under XBMC. here is my log file: thank you

Read the debug log. Wont be long you forgot to put it in full debug. Anyway the solution is written in big letter in the log just take a look.

"Seb mentioned that he fixed this problem with mkv's with subs, just gotta wait for the next release."

The mkv's I'm trying to play doesn't have subtitles. I have rolled back one version and it is working fine now.

On a side note, have been having frame skip issues. I'm not sure why tho.

blinkseb Wrote:I've read the "user support thread" and I noted all your issues Wink For the italic, shouldn't be hard to fix, but for for the disappear things, it'll be hard (imagine that you need to stay in front of your video during 20min). And it seems to me that it happen only in release mode, not debug (run a movie of 1h30, still subs at the end), that's why i thought it was fixed!

I'll investigate a bit more, and keep you updated Wink

Has someone test if the auto refresh rate feature is okay now?

No joy on auto refresh - not working for me, playback remains same as desktop resolution at least according to the OSD it does. Thought oldpainless would have been all over that Rolleyes

Lol...you are right...I am!...lol :p

Seb\Tiben,

Auto refresh is still not detecting the correct FPS of the movie - same as last time, defaults to 50hz regardless of the fps of the file. Eek

I have noticed though, it's going through the cycle rock solid stable - ie, flush, reset etc (device reset).....looks like the last bug still to be ironed out (let me know if you need a debug)

PQ is fantastic, with no tearing on the EVR using fake fullscreen Nod

Tiben is on this bug. I was speaking only on the ability to handle a device reset, not the correct detecting of playback framerate :p

Ok...well at least it's been flagged as still outstanding bug. I can also cofirm that the subs do disapear after 15-30 mins.

rev 29166 works almost perfect, besides a few font sizing issues on certain mkv.
Great work Tiben & Seb

Sounds great! Makes me wanna try it out (still on 28016). Can it read directly from rar-archives too?

Yes providing you don't use Haali as your source or splitter.

Think I've got a real bug here:

WinXP SP3, 4GB RAM, 780G/Ati 3200, AMD 5050e 2,6GHz.
Using build 29166 (clean install, I uninstalled previous xbmc and deleted profile folder). DSplayer is my default player. Resizer changed to bilinear (tried bilinear and bilinear 2.0).

I exit XBMC, then put my HTPC in hibernation. Next day I wake up the HTPC and start XBMC:
I try to play a few mkv movies. It takes a few seconds before loading... then I get a black screen.

expected behaviour: I thought the video could start any moment.
current behaviour: the screen stays black, no audio. OSD is working.

Checked video icon/settings: "DXVA mode". Also CPU drops from average 30% (in XBMC gui) to 5% (as if it's playing video with DXVA).
Logfile: http://pastebin.com/hs28RQRV

Now to make it more interesting:
I restart Windows, start XBMC. Now mkv videos play fine (with DXVA) no matter what resizer.

And then:
After restarting Windows and testing mkv playback is successful, I put the pc in standby via XBMC (so I do not exit XBMC first).
Then I turn the pc on again: black screen. I can here the ticks when I use my remote, so XBMC did not freeze. I have to do ALT-F4 to exit xbmc. See log (4,63 MB pastebin gives me time out): http://ifile.it/j6x0o3g/xbmc.7z

After restarting XBMC: black screen and no audio when playing back mkv.

EDIT: to be complete after my last action (restarting XBMC) I restarted Windows, tried again and everything plays fine.
Then I restart XBMC, still plays fine! So it seems hibernation or standby, wether XBMC is running or not, gives me a black screen when waking up pc and trying to play mkv.

You don't have 'Auto Refresh' activated by mistake?

- zilexa - 2010-04-12

I edited my last post to be complete Smile
Auto Refresh? What do you mean exactly? I did not modify any setting in XBMC video playback settings after the clean install...

"Render method" is auto-detect (by default)
"Adjust display refresh rate to match video" is disabled (by default)
"Sync playback to display" is disabled (by default)
"Allow error in aspect ratio to minimize black bars" is disabled (by default)
"Activate Teletext" is enabled (by default, no idea what this means since XBMC doesn't support TV without other apps).

Might be wrong - but sounds like a trunk issue.
