blinkseb: Here is my debug-log:

When playing an mkv or avi file with dsplayer the video somtimes is played at high speed like its being ffw. And the audio is played at normal speed.
Line: 393/398/428/430 may be of interest

blinkseb Wrote:Not yet. By the way, shaders are meant to be laoded via the GUI (Video -> Shaders), not by editing the xml file (understand: i've only tested the gui method, and did not directly edited the xml file :p)

BTW editing the shaders.xml file in my userdata folder does work but I will now use the GUI for it.

thanks for the info

Ok well i guess you don't need bug reports you seem capable of finding them all yourself. Good luck Nod

Debug log is always good. If your using the same setup of filters haali with ffdshow audio and video with the same file in another directshow based player. Do you get the same kinda of playback??

No never its just with dsplayer i tried mpc-hc and all is good i can duplicate it quite often id say it happens once every six times i try to play a file. I will keep trying with debug see if anything shows up

Edit: Just as i tried to duplicate the problem xbmc crashed the windows error said evr.dll was responsible i have the crash dump here http://www.mediafire.com/?tfb5x3bofk3pxz2

When your saying its fine in mpc-hc you really forced the same filters for the playback or you used the internals one.

How do I disable DXVA using the mpcvideodec under win7 for my h264 encodings?

I have an issue that my nvidia driver randomly will crash with dxva enabled. What syntax do I need to use in my mediasconfig.xml file so that all mkv files do not use dxva?

thanks

ps: btw for those asking why even use dsplayer if I do not need dxva, I find the shaders available for SD content are superior to the normal trunk of xbmc.

You can't disable dxva with dsplayer, you need to do it on the video decoder side. IIRC, mpcvideodec has an option to enable/disable dxva on the preferences dialog.

Yea i forced the ffdshow and haali by disabling all mpc internal filters i have ffdshow to decode all my files. Strange thing is nothing shows up in the debug log. Cant think what would be causing the video to shoot of in front of the audio like that :confused2: Btw this problem goes back to or before 31520 i haven't tried earlier builds. Going to do some testing later.

Edit: Just tried using VMR9 instead of EVR from the dsplayer tab, the result was a blank screen no video just audio.
anyone else get this ?

- gav1577 - 2010-09-14

Ok i just recorded the problem as it happens on my phone, Quality is not good but should give you an idea of what's happening. Video seems to be playing at the screens fps instead of its normal fps before it locks up and fps drop http://www.mediafire.com/?pvrdxxvs285dpro

we could use the same settings from the xbmc gui to determine if we should use dxva or not. This could be a solution.
The code can be done from the video outputpin hook to block the video accelerators interface query

About my RAR(?) problem earlier. I just updated to the latest build and it's still crashing.

It seems that the error code is always the same, but the call stack keeps displaying random stuff. I tried running the debug build on 1280x1024 and it worked fine for 2hrs. But on my TV the release build seems to be crashing on each episode. Also, I wasn't using any subs this time. Also, on the other hand I was able to watch a full 100 minute movie today without any problems using the TV. I wish I could get the debug build running with the TV on. I guess 720p might do the job, I'll check it tomorrow.

Sounds like a great idea for a future build....

thx
