Well all seems good so far Smile i will be sure to let you know if i notice any more problems.
Two things i have noticed though is that VMR9 gives me a black screen,
not that it matters as i use evr. Also for me milkdrop visualisation don't work but
the other two are working.

Can you post a Debug Log of the vmr9 black screen.I suspect an error related with d3d.

Wow, that was quick...Now I can apply shaders based upon video resolution....

Eeek!

No dice here with the latest Dharma build with DSPlayer. I'm having the same issue as has been noted by at least one other; with DXVA2 enabled, I'll click a movie, it'll "play" and nothing happens. I'll exit back to the main screen and it'll be black with nothing doing. Even if I click play, nothing happens there so it looks like DXVA2 support got mangled in this build. Sad

If I disable DXVA2 support, I get my video back but then playback is choppy.

I ended up rolling back to the older non-Dharma build to find my database "missing" so this isn't an option, either.

This is on an Acer Revo 3610 with nVidia ION chipset.

As a result, I'll be awaiting a bug fix and playing my flix externally with MPC-HC and CoreAVC (which isn't as good as DSPlayer in my mind).

DSPlayer does *not* use the DXVA2 option in the GUI, so you must be using DVDPlayer. As stated in the previous messages, dvdplayer is broken in the latest release.

Try using DSPlayer, and if it does not work, please post a debug log.

No probs.. I'll do this later on when I get home. Is there an easy way to force DSPlayer within XBMC? I downloaded the latest build with it included...

Im getting problem with the audio rendering chain on the latest release.

i have XBMC DSPLAYERXBMCSetup-Rev31520-dx working, so i copied library from that to XBMCSetup-Rev33619-dx.

and copied over my usual

<advancedsettings>
<video>
<defaultplayer>dsplayer</defaultplayer>
</video>
<musiclibrary>
<recentlyaddeditems>5000</recentlyaddeditems>
</musiclibrary>
<videolibrary>
<recentlyaddeditems>5000</recentlyaddeditems>
</videolibrary>
</advancedsettings>

but with dsplayer the video will not startm with same audio settings in xbmc as Rev31520.

the dvdplayer works, im guessing ive forgotten something so it registers?

that strange the way the player is logging the path at one place you have the extension .lmkv and then it says it crash and the same file as the externsion .mkv
also line 142 sounds strange
ERROR: Playlist Player: skipping unplayable item: 0, path [G:

some other logs

http://pastebin.com/ZWjiTQjN

http://pastebin.com/5g2pThrN

avi seems to play ok
http://pastebin.com/J7kFAtFe

but not mkv, using config files from -Rev31520.

using shark codec for ffdshow, so not instlling the one that comes with.

-Rev31520 works with ffdshow and bitstream hd audio, but cant get mkv to play in the new one.

Have you forced internal filters on the dsplayer config tab ? if so try without
them. Also use haali media splitter for mkv just edit the mediasconfig.xml
find the mkv part and edit it like below

<source filter="haali" />
<splitter filter="haali" />

again
ERROR: Playlist Player: skipping unplayable item: 0, path [M:\.avi]
thats not normal.
You definetly have the option to use the internal filter enabled. You can find this settings in the xbmc gui. The internal filters and some codecs like h264 i have it perfectly working under winxp and dxva1 but i need some more code to handle more than the filters settings i tested with.

With WinXP, you need to disable VSync in XBMC if you want to use the auto refresh-rate feature.
