Read at least the wiki ... http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=HOW-TO:_Using_DSPlayer

Look at the beginning of the log file, XBMC thinks your using xp. Are you using the xp compatibility mode ?

gav1577 Wrote:Have you forced internal filters on the dsplayer config tab ? if so try without
them. Also use haali media splitter for mkv just edit the mediasconfig.xml
find the mkv part and edit it like below

<source filter="haali" />
<splitter filter="haali" />

Ive tried haali, and made sure internal filters was off, but no luck.

Strange since ive copied over working mediaconfig files from other build, and have the same settings in xbmc.

new log still show errors with mkv that works fine in Rev31520

Have you tried backing up your profile folder and doing a fresh install
totally uninstalling xbmc then reinstalling it? I unistalled the shark007 codec pack it gave me problems and installed ffdshow & haali only does everything i need it to.

Useless log. Enable debug and repost a log file. A filter is not loaded correctly.

ok, this should be the debug log

http://pastebin.com/uAFhBf47

anyways, installed XBMCSetup-Rev31520-dx at desktop and run as portable.
it played mkv with ffdshow audio with no modification. right click select dsplayer

Then installed XBMCSetup-Rev33619-dx at desktop and in portable mode, and dsplayer would not work. So something has changed.

There's an error loading Haali. Look in the mediasconfig.xml and change the source filter and splitter to mkvsource / mkvsplitter. Maybe I released a build with Haali set by default for testing purpose and forget to set it back.

- bananaman - 2010-09-19

the haali was something i tried.

another log from a clean install to desktop

http://pastebin.com/dFTKVzEr

so theres a audio problem. Maybe the ati hdmi audio or the ffdshow. But hesitant to mess with the ffdshow settings since bitstream is working.

Go in the settings of xbmc and turn off the internal filters. Dxva under windows vista or 7 is not working. I only coded the win xp part of dxva right now.
