All i can suggest mate is to uninstall the shark007 codec pack reboot and just try ffdshow and haali. Other than that i have no idea what the problem could be.
Btw try the x86 versions first

Only x86 filters can be used, don't even try to use a x64 one, it won't work *at all*

so theres a audio problem. Maybe the ati hdmi audio or the ffdshow. But hesitant to mess with the ffdshow settings since bitstream is working.
The error message is misleading, but it's the video filter which has a problem. Is ffdshow configured to decode h264 stream?

Thought that may have been his problem using x64 codec pack

ok, managed to get it to work.
if shark codec is set to mpc-hc, then it works from clean install.
if shark is set to ffdshow, then change to ffdshow in mediasconfig.xml
but that has to be done for avi and all other files.
On the previous release shark codec could be set to ffdshow, and dsplayer to mpcvideo.
So i guess that was the problem. Also the previous release would go black for a second before start playing, this does not happen now.

I have installed the newest version of XBMC with dsplayer, configured ffdshow like it is described in the wiki (+ checked the options in dxvavideoconfg of ffdshow) and have some problems:
mkv and mp4 videos don't work with ffdshow, I get flickering when I try to play those files (meaning I see the frontend partly). Moreover, the debug osd is in a really big resolution.
Then, when I close XBMC and start it again to watch a video, it just hangs when i try to start the video.
(Strangely, It worked one time without problems with the same built, but after a restart the problems happened again)
I'm running Windows XP SP2 with a Radeon HD 3850

Could you provide like 2 Debug Log the first time you run and its working and the second time when its not working.

How do I run XBMC in debug mode so that I can post a proper log? I would just post the normal running log but I don't really see anything in it that would help (no errors).
My HTPC is an Intel HD Graphics system (i3 Processor) with Windows 7 using the DSPlayer version of XBMC and there are a few movies in my library that it refuses to play (the screen goes black, it says Loading, and then it takes me back to the movie selection screen). It hangs/crashes sometimes but not every time. I'm using the MPC standalone filters as well as DXVA EVR as well.
I tried installing Shark 007 codec pack and Windows Media Player also refused to play those movies. It either said it was missing a codec, or it would play the movie stuck in pause mode (as in I could click the slider bar to fast-forward to a random part of the movie and see the picture change, but it would remained paused and wouldn't play normally).
However, if I use the MPC Player or VLC Player those movies play perfectly fine.
Every other movie on my HTPC plays perfectly fine with DXVA and what not enabled except for those few exceptions.
My main PC has a Radeon HD 5870 with Windows 7 and it plays those movies just fine using the Shark 007 codec pack or anything else.
I'm inclined to believe it is an Intel problem but I'm not sure if it has to do with DXVA (hardware acceleration) or not since I forced DXVA in the MPC Player and the movies still played just fine (although I'm sure there is a difference from using DXVA in XBMC).

Update on developement of the internal video decoder(The dxva part)

they both as syncro problem. The longest part is done of the code for both platform. Now its some tweaking to get it right

Hmm.. I just tried an avi file and noticed it's playing at ~13 FPS? The codec is xvid and dvdplayer plays the file just fine. All the other avis also have this low FPS whereas 720p/1080p MKVs are just fine.
