Yes, as I was say I have selected proper Audio Renderer in DSPlayer config section. Regardless of that settings, audio always plays over Windows default audio device. When I playing same file using DVDplayer all is OK and audio plays on selected device (in XBMC audio option menu).

My config:
Windows XP SP3
XBMC DSPlayer build 33619 (same problem also in Rev34469-dx_unstable_vmr9test)
AMD 64 X2 4800+, 2GB RAM, NVidia GeForce 8800GT, soundcard 1: C-Media CMI8738, soundcard 2: SB-Live! 24-bit

Debug log 1: SB-Live! is default soundcard, SB is selected in XBMC audio option menu and in DSPlayer option menu, audio plays over SB-Live! here

Debug log 2: C-Media is default soundcard, SB is selected in XBMC audio option menu and in DSPlayer option menu, audio plays over C-Media here

i get the same behavior in win7 x86, if it helps, dsplayer always plays in default soundcard, regardless my custom setting

Weird, we add the right audio output to the graph. I only have one sound card, so I can't test, be can you achieve playback like you want using mpc-hc?

I will try MPC-HC later afternoon when I arrive home.

Edited: I'm @ home, MPC-HC switching sound cards without any problem.

@tiben
@seb

Did you have any luck pinning down the cause of the xbmc lockups whilst seeking (both mkv chapter seek and normal seek)?

I've got debug logs for both if you need them...

http://pastebin.ca/1963146

(pastebin.com is playing up!)

I'm on the latest build... 34478.

Cheers guys

Not yet, will look at it in the next minutes.

EDIT: It's should be fixed in r34767. It was actually a bug in DirectShow, which don't like very much seeking at fast rate.

What are you exactly doing to make it freeze?

blinkseb Wrote:What are you exactly doing to make it freeze?

Just skipping pretty fast through chapters is all it takes. As i said though it seems better than it was Smile

- liquidskin76 - 2010-10-16

Same here, just either seeking or mkv chapter seeking very fast.

@Seb,

Just seen in the trac that you have merged. Just double checking... is the merge now in line with dharma beta 3 (guessing it's even a little further on from that)?

Thanks

Thanks

It's far further Wink I don't merge with Dharma but with trunk, and there are a lot of commits which are not backported. As always, it may become a little instable, mostly when time goes by, but I don't have a choice : it's a pain to merge with svn, and I wait to long, I'm good for a day of work just for merging Confused

EDIT: Chapter seeking is fixed too. It's was a nasty bug with threads locking. Pretty hard to find out! Have fun Wink

I have this too. I never reported it, I just got used to always making sure my HDMI soundcard was set as default.
