I'm just dying to get my hands on DSPlayer, however, the latency between my location (Pacific Northwest) and the passin-xbmc.org server is horrible - I get a max of 4Kbps sustained and can't get through an entire download without the connection resetting.

Is there a mirror of the Passion-XBMC site anywhere in the US or is the a mirror of DSPlayer?

Thanks!!!

Installer DSPlayerConfigEditor_install.exe
Source http://dsplayer.passion-xbmc.org/DsplayerConfigEditor/DSPlayerConfigEditor.rar
As you can see in that print screen you can test the config with a file too see if its working and also connect to that graph like you would with xbmc.

Also if someone tryed the first version their less bug in the first tab.If you want to save the rules you need to save it before going to the next rules. I still need to work on that stuff when i got time

If no one make any comments about the application i made for configuring dsplayer filters. I will just stop developing it if its not used.

Hi Tiben,

What you've done from what I can see from your pictures looks great, it'll be a really useful tool, and XBMC DSPlayer was definately in need of a configuration tool so people can set thier machine up nicely for directshow rather than internal codecs.

Unfortunately Im not in a position to test it yet, as I'm waiting for the next revision of DSPlayer to come out which has some fixes in made since the last public release before I start using it Smile
(Which as I understand should be coming, either as release, or SVN, as soon as Dharma releases)

I'll be happy to give some feedback after the next release though Smile

Alex

From what i tested tiben20 it works great. Dont stop developing it its a handy tool i think it will be used more when you guys start releasing new builds. I think everyone is waiting for the nightly builds at the moment when dharma is out of Rc. Im sure others appreciate your work i for one do keep it up Wink

+1

It works great. I think the problem is that many of us are waiting for the nightly builds. Kind of gave up trying to get perfect smooth playback using DSPlayer and ReClock (as can be achieved with the same filters and EVR render settings in MPC-HC).

So the timing may not be the best, but the config tool is very much appreciated.

I'm also waiting on a new release before testing the new tool... The dsplayer-release that is out there right now dont work for me, and versions that I have tried to compile myself havent worked either.. So I havent got a setup to test the tool on at the moment.

you only need to provide the 2 xml files when the tool start for the first time.
Once the application got them everything work from there your able to change and test the config.

The problem for me is that the compiled dsplayer-version that is on the passion-server right now is unusable for me. The entire player crashes if I pause or skip/rewind a movie. I have tried compiling my own version a couple of times, but with those versions the application completely stopped responding at once if I tried to skip forward in a movie.

So at the moment I'm waiting for a new compile of dsplayer without these issues before there is any need on my side for the xml-tool. Dsplayer worked perfectly for me with earlier versions, but for some reason I'm not able to go back to those versions anymore... DVDplayer in xbmc works without issues though so I'm using that for normal files and MPC-HC for files with DTS-HS MA or truehd until a new version of dsplayer is released.

So when a new dsplayer is released the xml-tool will be very much appreciated! Its very useful to be sure that these xml-files arent the source of any errors when playing around with dsplayer and testing different filters.

Ditto that Tiben - there are a lot of users (me included) who've had to temporarily give up in dsplayer because smooth and stable playback just can't be achieved with currently available (outdated) builds, and we can't compile our own from more recent sources. Once dsplayer gets back to something more stable like it was 6-8 months ago (the beloved 28016 build), with more rebularly avaible updates there'll likely be a lot more interest and a bigger user base.

Cheers
