Just tried it... Yup, I was referring to a long distant future when, maybe, somebody will come up for a GUI way of handling that. I agree, I use DVBViewer in XP Sp3, overlay renderer with ReClock and DXVA with Cyberlink Decoders (both MPEG and H264), so it definitely does work. - tiben20 - 2009-11-14 ashlar Wrote:It isn't. But it might be just my mistake It wont take long to make a simple program for configuring the xml with vb.net directshow.net is kinda easy to use - Levi - 2009-11-14 Sorry for interrupting here, but how do I get this build exactly to work? I installed it, but I don't really see a difference in the playback of my FullHD-videos. Somebody on here says something about a advancedsettings.xml which just does not exist, neither in Program Files nor in Roaming. Would it even help on my EEEBox (Atom N330, ION). Probably I'm just too inexperienced, but would be glad of any help. - xbs08 - 2009-11-14 You have to create the advancedsettings.xml (see wiki). Yes, ION is capable of DXVA. This works out of the box for me (9400GT) it just doesn't play mkv's with subs in it. While playing a HD (.mkv) file press "O" and see the CPU usage and don't forget you gotta select "play with..." and then "DSPLAYER", otherwise DVDPLAYER (the default player) will kick in. - Levi - 2009-11-14 Ok, I created the advancedsettings.xml, selected the DSPlayer (which is the default one now btw.) in XBMC, but it's still far from perfect. Here's my log: http://pastebin.com/md232f51 - neil.j1983 - 2009-11-14 Levi Wrote:Ok, I created the advancedsettings.xml, selected the DSPlayer (which is the default one now btw.) in XBMC, but it's still far from perfect. no one ever said it was perfect. infact this dsplayer has only been available for testing for 3 days. i think tiben20 deserves a pat on the back for attempting this, it's no mean feat! - Levi - 2009-11-14 neil.j1983 Wrote:no one ever said it was perfect. infact this dsplayer has only been available for testing for 3 days. Of course, I already gave him rep today. I just thought (and read) that there are still some bugs but the movies should run a lot better. I didn't see notable differences so I guessed I did something wrong. Far from any offence to tiben. - nestochi - 2009-11-14 Levi Wrote:Ok, I created the advancedsettings.xml, selected the DSPlayer (which is the default one now btw.) in XBMC, but it's still far from perfect. well, from your screenshot , it seems it's not using DXVA acceleration in your system, thus the low fps rate. - Levi - 2009-11-14 nestochi Wrote:well, from your screenshot , it seems it's not using DXVA acceleration in your system, thus the low fps rate. I guessed so. Maybe I'm missing a codec or something? I installed the Klite Codec Pack (Standard) and the latest nVidia-drivers. - xbs08 - 2009-11-14 XBMC comes with all the codecs you'll need. Do you have dxva in mpc-hc? - Levi - 2009-11-14 xbs08 Wrote:XBMC comes with all the codecs you'll need. Do you have dxva in mpc-hc? I'm not sure where to check this, but I guess not, because the playback stutters all the time with MPC-HC. The only player that runs fine with FullHD out of the box is the Windows Media Player. - xbs08 - 2009-11-14 You need to configure mpc-hc to take advantage of dxva. http://nunnally.ahmygoddess.net/watching-h264-videos-using-dxva/ - Levi - 2009-11-14 xbs08 Wrote:You need to configure mpc-hc to take advantage of dxva. Ok, thanks, did it. Runs a lot better now, but not completely without stutters like in WMP. - Nolik - 2009-11-14 Windows 7 x64 build 445 not working.. black screen - play using dsplayer build 475 working! but info about codec information - Not DXVA... directX 9 installed, mpc-hc x64, x32 working and play film in dxva mode. *.ax not registred. in log xbmc: 16:57:25 T:2812 M:2806824960 ERROR: Failed loading C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\system\players\dsplayer\dsfilterconfig.xml 16:57:26 T:2812 M:2794332160 NOTICE: vmr9:InitializeDevice() 1280x528 AR 80:33 flags:1 buffers:1 fmt:(0) full log http://pastebin.com/m7050f2a6 - tiben20 - 2009-11-14 Nolik Wrote:Windows 7 x64 Dont expect a perfect playback in the next few weeks with windows vista or 7. Keep in mind mpc-hc as been developed by many really good c++ developer for 5 or 6 years. Its really differenet from me i work a lot and been coding with c++ for like 6 or 7 months |
