no worries, Tiben. Whenever it gets updated to include the fix is fine for me. 99.9% of the rest of it works a treat!

First i want to say that i have been using dsplayer for days now, and it s so great!
One thing i just figured out and i am not sure it has been told before but when i pause a movie my cpu goes directly to 80% on both my cpus. It goes back down as soon as i play again.
Also i have a movie where when i start it play for about 10s then stop. If i play it again it plays in a separated window, plays for 10s and then stop again.
here is the log from the playing
Code:
23:40:39 T:3640 M:1980362752   ERROR: PCRE: nothing to repeat. Compilation failed at offset 0 in expression '*'
23:40:39 T:3640 M:1980313600  NOTICE: Successfully loaded C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\system\players\dsplayer\dsfilterconfig.xml

23:40:50 T:3640 M:1950932992  NOTICE: DSPlayer: waiting for threads to exit
I dont really know how i can send you a sample if necessary Confused

Will try your latest build

I can understand the cpu% raising i didnt coded anything to stop rendering the surface, but for the ERROR: PCRE: nothing to repeat thats weird i dont event using regular expression it can be coming from my player

Ok for the pause not really a problem actually.

Ichecked again with your latest build, every time i try to play that movie i get that error. Just so you know it plays well in MPCHC.

- Spaceone - 2009-12-28

No way. Video goes directly in pause.

- hades_2100 - 2009-12-28

Same PAUSE problem as described previously. Sad

Thanks.

Here is a log:

I dont really understand why CDVDVideoCodecFFmpeg::Open is appearing in the logs its a class from the dvdplayer not used with by my player.
ERROR: exception in CApplication::FrameMove() is also not the first time i see it and its actually not happening on my cpu so i need to find out what is messing with the frame move

I get the same scheduler thread issue as in Hades debug. Hades, if you force EVR does it play?

Not to hurry you up, but there still isn't Samba support in it? Or does it simply still don't work? Got it mounted now, but Windows still forgets the password, so I have to remount it every time (very annoying). (Also net use \\userConfusedhare -p password failes on startup (network isn't ready when it tries to mount)), so I really hope you will support samba Smile

Great work though on the DXVA support!

CPU 100% In GUI - Marbieskarb - 2009-12-28

First off I would like to say thank you for this XBMC build. DXVA works excellent for me but, it seems that when I browse the GUI my CPU stays @ 100%. This is a huge problem because my movie thumbs don't load properly while navigating. However, when playing a 1080p movie the CPU doesn't crack over 20%.

I've tried disabling vertical blank sync, toggling various settings in the NVIDIA control panel but still the same issue.

Is there a workaround or fix for this.....I also have XBMC live 9.11 installed on another partition and navigating works flawlessly.

PC specs:
AMD Athlon 3500+/1 GB Memory/NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS 512MB (195.62)/Windows XP SP3 (Fresh Install)

Thanks

ofeefee Wrote:I get the same scheduler thread issue as in Hades debug. Hades, if you force EVR does it play?

"ERROR: CEvrScheduler::Flush No scheduler thread!"
This log is not an error, the evr got 3 thread for rendering the scheduler,d3d preseneter and message processing which buffer every sample for the scheduler. the framemove exeption of hades log is the error.

@XiniX88: this thread has nothing to do with samba whatsoever. Keep everything not related to the development of the feature this thread is about out of here please, it is hard enough for Tiben to keep track of all the issues related to his feature as it is.

Ehm...

My prev post:

And his reply:
tiben20 Wrote:Just forgot to add support for converting windows share that has login and password in the smb path ill do that for the next build

I only wanted to let him know the problem still exists in his latest build. But I ain't here to defend my posts... 2 useless posts now (yours included). If you still have problems with my posts, please PM me.

This isn't anything to do with this build its a common problem on some systems, try turning "threaded optimization" to off in NVIDIA control panel
