Hi,

1st of all big thanx for the dxva support, lack of it has been kind of a showstopper for me with xbmc...

Then the actual problem:
With previous version I had no problems getting dxva working with videos without embedded subtitles. Now with the latest I don't seem to be able to get dxva support working at all. I don't get any errors into the log but "not using DXVA" is showing on the video diagnostics. Same videos work with dxva on mpc-hc just fine.

This is happening with a clean install. Only change I've made is adding a advancedsettings.xml with defaultplayer property. Here is the log: http://pastebin.com/m72d23dcd

And i did get some help from the master of dvdplayer elupsus yesterday fixed the last rendering bugs. Now it is working perfectly on xp vista and win 7.
The next priority will now be to fix those bugs with filters loading and also updating to svn last version of the trunk. This will fix the library bugs and might fix also some problems related to video over smb.

It's really a shame this will miss the Camelot release. Sad

Well, it's gonna be in ... Delphi?

Can't wait for next build Smile

If i pause the video and then hit stop xbmc doesn't seem to crash.

What's been improved? Things to look out for?

If your going out of the fullscreen and navigate for files its really perfect i dont really see any difference now beetween a video from this player and one from dvdplayer there still the video and audio info but this is going to be worked out.

The video can be stopped without crashing.

There still some more stuff i did fix but not worth it to explain Tongue

OOPS for everyone testing mkv files i did an error parsing the guid in the system\players\dsplayer\dsfilterconfig.xml
change the <filter name="mkvsource" to
<filter name="mkvsource" type="source">
<path>MatroskaSplitter.ax</path>
<guid>{0A68C3B5-9164-4A54-AFAF-995B2FF0E0D4}</guid>
</filter>

question oh great tiben20 - hellohello - 2009-11-19

is anyone able to resume from a given point after the start of a video?

dsplayer offers to resume from, let's say 10:30, but dsplayer starts right from the beginning.

- xbs08 - 2009-11-19

Theoretically you should do fine with quicktime substitute installed (is that the name of the codec, right)?

Quicktime Alternative. Although ffdshow has support for most of the standard (modern) quicktime codecs.
