floepie Wrote:^^ Yes, I am confused about this as well. I have the latest setup (26307) from the 3rd party SVN thread. According to the timeline (TRAC), tibben's mods have been recorded in builds *before* 26307. I'm just confused as to why DSplayer is not installed with this build?

The only reason I'm asking is because of a recent feature that has been added in recent builds that I've been waiting for (wasapi output). Thanks....

You wont get wasapi output from my build. The timeline show every modification did on every branch. This is why your confused i didnt update to the current trunk for like 1 week or 2 i cant remember. Im doing major change to make it ablet o compile entirely without visual studio just the express 2008

JustinKlim Wrote:I think the problem is that tiben isn't including plugins in the build. When you install it you'll notice that on the screen where you can select features it doesn't have a plugins item in the list to enable/disable. I think you can get round this by installing the official 9.11 release and then tiben's release on top. This will install plugins functionality and then be left in place when installed over.
Funnily enough that's exactly what I did but no luck. If I re-install the stock build then plugins work, install tiben's release on top and they stop working again.

Hmmm... Maybe it matters which one was the very first build to be installed.

Quote:I´ve installed tibens build and then I´ve downloaded the svn repo installer and unpacked it to \xbmc\plugins\programs\

Then I was able to install all wanted stuff with the svn repo installer.
Yes, I have svn repo installer working and it ,apparently, installs the plugins correctly. However if you then go and try and run them then XBMC can't find them.

I'm going to try and complete wipe and start again from scratch.

Hey,

I was such a fool Smile I didn't play the hd movies with dsplayer and see now I get the real advantage of using dxva (H.264 bistream decoder, no FGT displayed) with an average cpu load of 5% and gpu load of 25% on my test system. That's really impressive !

I also managed to use coreavc with the dsplayer instead of the MPCVideoDec, runs also very smooth (cpu load ~15%, gpu load 15%).

Is there a possibility to switch between the different codecs which I have declared in the dsfilterconfig.xml in dsplayer except to edit it ?

Haven't noticed any bugs at all but will do further more testing Wink

As for the different revisions, I guess I have to do some more researches, it might be long night today at least to get an overview Wink

Best Regards,
Matix

OK, thanks for your reply. So, the way I understand it, when you change everything over to Express 2008, then you have the power to add it to the main branch, and then it will show up in the "3rd party SVN installer (iKons)"? I'm not seeking to use wasapi output with dsplayer and video files. I'd like to use the wasapi output only for audio files. Thanks again.

is the latest rev broken on Windows 7 ?
i'm not able to play any h/x264 movies on my asrock ion with Win7

log: http://pastebin.com/f1abcdcc8

older revs doesn't work either, they just crash when i try to play a movie.

Log of r26242, which worked once on XP, but now it doesn't on 7:

@iBROX

I have a fresh W7 32bit install. Both 720p and 1080p work flawlessly with very low CPU usage. However, when I attempt to start a movie after XBMC is started, the very first movie will prompt a ffdshow dialog which asks for permission for XBMC.exe to use it, as XBMC.exe is neither on the white- or black-list. When I invoke the ffdshow settings, XBMC.exe is clearly there, so this an oddity I can't explain. Further, I've found that I must select the first option in that dialog for DXVA to work - that is, "do not allow XBMC.exe to use ffdshow". So, I'm not sure what's going there....

i have exactly the same error,

20:30:45 T:184 M:1215311872 ERROR: exception in CApplication::FrameMove()

@-Sumo-,
whats causing it? codec problem?
My Windows 7 32bit is a fresh install btw..

Hi, rev 26269 on my asrock Ion 330HT win 7 x64 is working fine on most mkv files.
Unluckily, in same cases, I have a trouble with multiple tracks audio: all tracks play together! In case of different languages I hear them all at the same time ... If I try to switch audio tracks via osd, the option is not selectable as if the file has one track only: with dvdplayer they play correctly and track selection is available (but obviously the video frame rate is pathetic).
Anyone experiencing same issue? Any idea?

Great work done by you tiben!
Everything works flawless for me with the latest build except for one thing.

There seems to be a problem with the memory allocation. When I start a movie XBMC allocates about 70-100MB of memory but when I then stop the movie the memory does not get released back and when I start more movies its the same thing. This ends up in that when a couple of movies has been started XBMC allocates a lot of memory and I have to restart it to release all the memory. This makes it annoying to use it.
I have had this problem with all builds I have tested.

Would be interesting if more have experienced this or if its only me...

I use Vista 32bit btw

Thanks SUMO.

I tried the older build this time I had sound, and a BLACK screen.. But still no go Sad

1080p does not work for me - branlr - 2010-01-04

My system is a Dell Dimension 8300 p4 3ghz w/ 3GB ram and a HIS Radeon 3650.

720p plays flawlessly, but the 1080p files I have are unwatchably jumpy. I assume it is because it is not using DXVA, but it still seems to play better than WMP on a 1080p which obviously also would lack DXVA.

These files do, however, play perfectly in mpc-hc.

Anyone have any ideas on what might cause this?

All I did was install fresh. Did I miss a step?
