It's the same build. It's a 32-bit app...doesn't matter if you're running 64 or 32 bit windows, so either grab the build that was just posted about, or check the first post of this thread which tiben20 updates to include links to the newest build.

Or, alternately, built it yourself...

http://www.multiupload.com/1HL8RICTL6 Not the latest, but it's the latest that works on Win7 (at least for me).

Nice, I grabbed the version on the first post yesterday but it didn't work, so hopefully the one that "jfgi" posted will work for me.

Hello all!

I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit, along with a ATI Radeon HD 3450 card. I'm using the install from the first post of this thread. Initially, everything appears to function great, but I notice an interesting behavior. When I play a x264 video, everything works fine, video appears and the performance is fantastic! If I exit, run XBMC again and then go play a regular xvid video, the screen is blank, but I can hear audio. If go back to play a x264 video again, stop and then go back and try the xvid video again, I have video back. This seems to happen with or without the Vista specific setting in the dsplayer Settings in the XBMC menu.

Has anyone else had similar issues? Should I try a newer build?

@Edge: i had the same behavior and already reported it.
Right now i am using 26269 and dont have the problem.

Latest version has problems for Windows 7. Read the last 4 posts before yours for versions that work.

Everything related to network and special caracter is fixed. I have 2 basic setup in the player for inserting a source filter when the first failed its trying the other. In the case your smb path as a password and username its going to use the xbmc filesystem.

Everyone else windows vista and 7 i will start working on the problem when i have some.

There isn't a newer one (unless you want to compile it yourself). I could only get audio or nothing, but 26269 works. http://www.multiupload.com/1HL8RICTL6

What's this supposed to change? I've installed 26269 and I see no changes at all, no changes in playback or any of the menus or anything. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to do anything more then install XBMCSetup-Rev26269-dx.exe and ad
Quote:<advancedsettings>
<video>
<defaultplayer>dsplayer</defaultplayer>
</video>
</advancedsettings>

to Advancedsettings.xml? Am I missing a application or something.

Edit: I'm just thick Wink I forgot to select "play using". Not many mkv files work though and all of them is without sound.

Does this means that DSPlayer will be able to play internet video streams (http)? Because so far they never worked for me.
(last SVN tried was 26487)

Unless I'm totally off track here, providing you had the advancedsettings in the correct place users\appdata\roaming\xbmc\userdata, then you shouldn't have to use 'play using', that's the whole purpose of the advanced setting Huh the ds player would then become the 'default' player.

1. I dont know any directshow source filters which is using http streaming.
2. Dvdplayer is already a freaking good at playing internet streams i dont see how dsplayer could get a better playback than dvdplayer.

Just tested this on a Nvidia GTS 250, and it seems to be working well.

But when I switch between DSPlayer and DVDPlayer, the image seems much brighter and washed-out a bit when using DSPlayer. Is this inherent to changing players, or is it possibly an issue with this DSPlayer?

- Scandermore - 2010-01-11

Hello!

I installed rev 26487 in XP, and it seems to work fine (but I have not tested it much), and when I show the info I can see "Not using DXVA", though my motherboard has the Nvidia 9300, which is listed in the hardware compatibility list.

Am I missing something? Do I have to do anything else to make DXVA work?

Thanx.
