shirley26 Wrote:Hello,
I’m sorry for my bad English ,
Im currently using the latest build of xbmc with bs player, everything works great but I can’t get the subtitles working in Hd movies , I have tried a lot of wmv / mkv movies with integrated subtitles or with separate srt files.
Is the anything I need to do to get the subtitles working ?

DSPlayer doesn't support subtitles yet!

multiupload.com seems to be dead.
Pm on passion-xbmc.org,
I gave you ftp access to store your releases pending a solution.

Slightly off topic, but not really too much if it keeps the noobistic questions down ... lol
windows xp and 7 read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DXVA
linux read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VAAPI

http://passion-xbmc.org/gros_fichiers/xbmcdsplayer/XBMCSetup-Rev26998-dx.exe (Thanks shaitanfree for the miror !)

Are there two branches of tiben's build now? Is the original post in this thread not the best place to find the latest releases? Sorry, I'm a little confused.

Hi,

Is this patch in the build included or is it necessary to compile it with the latest svn from dsplayer ? Can't wait to try the the audio stream options Smile

Anyway, thank you both for such a great work on developing the dsplayer, much appreciated !

Regards
Matix

The patch is included in the build. The patch is provided since changes aren't commited to the svn repository yet.

Please provide feedback on the audio streams Smile !

blinkeb, do you envision being able to tackle the subtitles problem in the future? Is an area of expertise for you?

- blinkseb - 2010-01-21

I'm afraid subtitles are out of my expertise Sad Maybe later when i'd fully understand how DirectShow / DXVA worked.

I haven't tried your latest release but I did try the one you posted yesterday and that release already allowed for switching audio streams. I was playing around with a movie that had commentary and was able to switch back and forth (there was a delay of a few seconds where the video would freeze before the audio switch took effect).

I hope that you'll be soon joined by an expert in this field, with the exposure that XBMC gets on a daily basis... it's bound to happen sooner or later (I'm taking the optimistic view here! Big Grin).

This is normal because the only way to handle multiple audio streams with every possible splitter is to stop the player reconnect the new audio output and restart the stream. This way you dont need a specific audio switch filter to handle them. And you also dont get problems with audio convertion dropping from 5.1 to 2.0 from the earlier audio switch filter

MKVs are now working on my Win7 32bit Zotac Mag. Unfortunately there is another issue now, and that is a stuttering effect when I try to play m2ts with VC-1. With Build 25915, what I prefered several times, both filetypes are playing fine. Unfortunately with 25915 there is no chance to adjust framerate...

Thanks and best regards!

How did you get your mkv smooth because mine are not that smooth as I wrote some posts back. What is your secret?
