Hi,
for the first time when starting my xbmc machine, I get a black screen with nothing happening. This occurs right after the message "Starting HALD". I really have no idea where to start looking for the problem...

hey folks, the last time I've had this I reinstalled. I'm having this again....does anybody have an idea what it is? I can run safemode to check logfiles, i just don't have an idea where to start....c'mon guys...I'd really really really hate to re-reinstall....can anybody help me?

If I'm not totally mistaken, my guisettings.xml is compromised.
I'm rather sure it shouldn't look like this:

<sortorder>1</sortorder>

there's more lines like that...I'd love to replace the file, but it says "readonly filesystem"...
