I did a nice clean install of XBMC including the library and I think I am running the alpha 2.
If I pause video and resume the audio is shot, seems to be about 2 seconds out but no amount of syncing will fix it. If you leave the video running about 3 minutes later it all gets back into sync by itself.
This is not an issue of the files, I have had them a long time and they have never been a problem
Also if there is activity on the harddrive the stuff is streaming from the audio will go out, it used to buffer if there was an issue now the audio just goes to tits.

Not sure if it's fixed, but try the lastest release, beta 1.
