Any fix or workaround?

it works fine on my side, not sure what you would like me to fix as only you are experiencing this issue. Smile

did you ever have it working? any other addons that require internet acces having the same issue? you have internet access on this box?

The issue was that I had a proxy server configured on the system (windows).

Firefox was working fine with those URLS since it has it's own proxy settings. XBMC would lead you to believe it has own proxy settings but it seems to inherit the windows settings.

Hope this helps someone else.

It's working great now.

Thx

Dear Amet
Congratulations for your great piece of work. Thanks.

In Xbmc (windows), when trying fetching lyrics, if the Singer/Music has specials caracters (portugueseS like á, é, ç, etc...) the Api FAILS.
XBMC: Dharma Beta 1.

Thanks a lot.

I see that this is supposed to read embedded lyrics from mp3s, but I can't seem to figure out how to make this work.

I have some mp3s that I know have embedded lyrics, because I play them on my computer and they display lyrics. However, when I play them on my XBMC, it just says "Fetching lyrics from LyricWiki.org API failed", as if it's trying to pull lyrics from LyricWiki despite the embedded lyrics. Does this mean for some reason it's not able to read my embedded lyrics at all?

Have you enabled it to read from embeded lyrics, check addon settings.

If you still cand get it to work, I would need the file that you have an issue with and a debug log.

Cheers,
Zeljko

Yes, I have it set to read from embedded lyrics under addon settings.

Here is the debug log, in relevant part, with all individualized information edited out:

please do not clip the log, it helps when we can see the version that you are running and all the other relevant info in it.

I'm still a bit new to all this so apologies if this is stupid question.

I'm running Dharma Beta 2 with Aeon65 skin and have just spent the best part of an afternoon trying to get CU Lyrics to work - unsuccessfuly so far !!

At this stage I'm not even sure if the script is running - where exactly do I start it from ? I can get in to setings for it okay, but under my Scripts or Music main menu's there is no mention.

Also, on the first page of this thread it says to go to System->Skin->Addon Scripts->Enable Lyrics in Music OSD :confused2:

In my Aeon65 set up I cant find this screen or anything that looks close!

Please help - I don't want this to get the better of me !!
