What a dick. Have you tried getting in touch with szsori? He's always been a reasonable fellow.

TheTVDB admin, or whom ever it is, "doesn't care that it doesn't work. And wants us to understand that he doesn't care."

Well that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Wow.

I posted on the forum about a bug. I'm not wasting my time any further. I have plenty of backlogs to watch but if nothing else in a few weeks I'll just do it manually (if I remember how Smile) and do the manual renaming and then let sickbeard pick it up from there.

The only way to "work around" tvdb is for somebody to set up a better one. (Or for me to add better support for tvrage but the former is easier for me ;-P)

- cosmicr - 2010-12-19

hey midgetspy, any chance you could look at my error I posted here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=665841&postcount=1915

cosmicr: What is the problem? You said the show is set to SD so of course it's ignoring 720p+ results... unless that is not what you're asking, hehe.

Episodes Not in TheTVDB - Dobyken - 2010-12-19

Is there an advanced setting to NOT download episodes not in TVDB or TVRage? For example a series that only has 13 episodes and someone uploads an old file as episode 14.

Hi MidgetSpy, thanks for a wonderful tool.
I just upgraded to the latest version but now I cannot add new shows, the log says:

Dec-19 14:36:29 ERROR CP Server Thread-6 :: Unable to parse XML for some reason: no element found: line 1, column 0 from XML:
Dec-19 14:36:27 ERROR CP Server Thread-6 :: Unable to parse XML for some reason: no element found: line 1, column 0 from XML:

I'm trying to add Top Gear (also tried Fawlty Towers), both are available on Thetvdb.

Update:
Nevermind, it looks like thetvdb was playing up, tried again and it is now working as expected.
Thanks again for a great tool.

SB will never download an episode that isn't in TVDB/TVRage.

it picked 720p as the best, but ignored the dvdrip's, and then it realised it didnt want 720p either so nothing got downloaded. shouldn't it have downloaded this:
Code:
Dec-16 22:14:51 INFO     BACKLOG :: Quality of Twin Peaks S02 DVDRip XviD SAiNTS is 2
why wouldn't it?

- rcoops - 2010-12-20

Just to let you know I love the tool, it has been doing a great job of making sure that I don't miss an episode for a while now. Not using XBMC integration just yet as I tend to download and store on different systems etc... but just the fact that I don't have to bother checking if there is a new episode out is wonderful Smile

Hey Midgeyspy, any hope in adding a simple check in the code for these value in the advanced settings config file?

Here is a mockup of what count be added to the config.ini

[Custom_Video_Source]
SD_TV = "SDTV"
SD_DVD = "DVDRip"
HD_TV = "HDTV"
720p_WEB-DL = "WEB-DL.720p"
720p_BluRay = "Bluray.720p"
1080p_BluRay = "Bluray.1080p"

if the value inside the "" is not there (see below) then use the application defaults (currently the names you have)

[Custom_Video_Source]
SD_TV = ""
SD_DVD = ""
HD_TV = ""
720p_WEB-DL = ""
720p_BluRay = ""
1080p_BluRay = ""

all it seems needs to be added is a check to see if custom qualities have been set in the config and if they have, then use them and if not then use the normal ones. seems to me the safest way to do this and unless the end user knows to add this stuff to the config it wont effect them.

cosmicr: Ah yes I see the problem now - I'm not sure the solution but i'll think on it.

EDIT: I think it's fixed in git now.

Thanks, that proved to be true. It downloaded It's Always Sunny S06E13 which is NOT in theTVDB but upon further review it IS in TVRage.
