Pr.Sinister Wrote:Because like that, if the show is released in SD 1st, it won't replace it with the HD afterwards...

The things is that, to me, SD DVD is a better quality than HD TV for some shows... Mainly the fact that the audio is uncensored...

During the season, i want it to download SD TV and replace with HD TV if it ever comes out... But once the DVD is out 6 months later, i replace the HDTV episodes with the DVD ones if the show won't be released on BluRay.

-Pr.

Run sickbeard and have it do your SD/HD TV quality.
Then run a 2nd instance of sickbeard that will do your 6month out request for SD DVD/bluray.

Anyone thought about an android app for sickbeard. That would be awesome to control via my phone.

I'm interested in using SickBeard simply as a renamer and organizer for my already downloaded tv episodes. I've got it installed, but I'm wondering what all I should do to disable any downloading of new episodes. Would simply disabling all the search providers be enough or should I do something else?

well for sickbeard to function it needs at least 1 search provider. so turning that off will work. also, if sickbeard doesn't know what nzb program it wont really do much... so you could just leave the sab info empty (using sabnzbd).

btw new windows version should be out asap to fix you non english locales and other misc bugs.

Same error for me also. The only way I found to resolve it is to start from a new Sickbeard DB

You have to go into your Sickbeard folder and delete sickbeard.db and sickbeard.db.v0

But each time I install a new version it's the same... is it possible to find a fix for it?

me too :-( same error

you should never have to delete your sickbeard.db. there is some locale setting problem that popped up, why not everyone is running into your error. what is your os language set to? english?

Seems that I'm not the only one regarding the previous posts.
My OS Language is French

Anyone got any tips for running Sickbeard source as a Windows service? It used to run fine for me, now it NEVER starts on its own after a reboot. If I restart the service after a reboot, it starts fine.

A Better Way to Get Support & Answers - daemox - 2011-01-29

Hi all!

I just read through all the posts from the last couple days. Most have already been asked and answered elsewhere. I'd recommend checking the Sick Beard resources (linked below) and reading/searching before posting to a 200 page deep thread on a third party site. Smile

There are preferred ways to submit bug and feature requests and they are outlined on Sick Beard's forum.

Please remember, this is free software created and maintained voluntary (and without pay). So, if you would, don't make anymore work than necessary for those involved.

Cheers all!

Complete Walk-through of install of SickBeard, Sabnzd, etc. - steppedup - 2011-01-30

Hi - I've fall in love with SickBeard, so as part of my contribution to the effort, I've done a step-by-step documentation of how to install on a Windows box.

Includes everything, with the focus being on guiding someone who doesn't even know what newsgroups are through the entire step of installing.

Tutorial is here. You might have to hit refresh a couple of times as Bluehost is killing me right now....

I'm immediately beginning work on a CouchPotato tutorial, so at the end of the day, it'll be a complete walk-through.

Hope it helps - feel free to PM with any questions/ suggestions!
