EDIT: Does appear that I must. We need a button in the options to scan for folder.jpg or something.

this happens automatically, but if you want to force the process you can 'rescan' your files. you can go to > Manage > check off the 'rescan' all box and submit.

Just got a prob again, which I had in the past and then was solved during one of the SB upgrades. Some downloads are being extracted twice (NOT downloaded twice). Folder and Folder.1. Also, some files stay "unpack.foldername". Both happened during one SB release, but was fixed through an update.

Thoughts?

It's SAB doing the extraction tho. Probably not a SB problem. By any chance are you running this on WHS?

Not on WHS, but on Win7. I don't remember, but this already happened before and was caused by SB (and then was fixed).

Is there a way I can configure Sickbeard and Sabnzbd to unpack files over a certain sizes (i.e. 1080p) in a different directory to the rest of my files?

Also do you have any idea if Sickbeard will eventually turn into an app i.e. one I can click on and open rather than using Terminal?

sickbeard doesnt unpack anything, thats all your torrent or usenet app. sickbeard just tells those apps what files to get (sends .torrent/.nzb).

sickbeard is python based, you can run it as a standalone pre-compiled app if you get the windows build. just make a shortcut to start it up, it runs in the bg like any other app. if you run sickbeard from source (git) you can just run it in the background using &.

when you ask questions it would be helpful for you to include what os, I can only assume you are using windows.

Sickbeard notifications to XBMC requires a port - fishypops - 2011-02-01

How do I find out what port number XBMC is running on ?

Pretty sure the default is 8080. Otherwise, its probably under System > Network?

Could not connect to localhost - fishypops - 2011-02-01

This one issue keeps bugging me...

I love sickbeard, but occasionally the session fails on me and comes up with the message:
Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to localhost:8081

I have checked my firewall settings, all is well.

The only remedy in each case, is to completely delete then reinstall Sickbeard.

Can someone please help me with this.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate.

Try using 127.0.0.1 instead.

Thanks, tried this, but this made no difference. Please don't stop with suggestions.

Try doing the IP of the computer itself..19.168.1.x:8081.

If no go, try this - http://tinyurl.com/4pbcj2v results in http://plugapps.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=309...and lots of other possibilities.

Cheers!

Lately a few tv shows I downloaded have failed. What's the best way to configure sickbeard to handle these shows? Each time I change the status back to wanted it downloads the same files that fail to unpack. (I checked them with MacPar and there's a problem with the Checksums of the video files. I'm using newzbin).

I have tried localhost, 19X.168.0.XX, 127.0.01

None of these helps. Anything else ?
