(Closed to users that have an existing account with nzbs.org as far as I can tell) you do realize you can just add any nn provider via the bottom box where it asks for the nn info? - thezoggy - 2011-07-11 22:45 etwintje Wrote:Well, thanks for your time then! I posted it on the sickbeard forums. Here is the topic: http://sickbeard.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2630 are you trying to d/l non-english shows? - bnevets27 - 2011-07-11 22:53 thezoggy Wrote:you do realize you can just add any nn provider via the bottom box where it asks for the nn info? I thought I did but I guess I didn't. I used to have a good handle on Sick Beard but since it has been working so well lately I haven't had to fiddle with it and use the new features that keep popping up. Thanks for the heads up. I figure I'll ask while I'm at it. Is there really any point to having an excessive amount of providers? Mostly is there much point to having 4+ nn providers? Is it actually less beneficial at some point? - thezoggy - 2011-07-12 00:10 bnevets27 Wrote:I thought I did but I guess I didn't. Thanks for the heads up. having multiple providers is fine.. but having 4 nn providers is pointless since realistically they all return the same results*. there are some slight variations between nn providers as some of them tweak regex's and some use nn+ vs just nn... etc.. but SBI (sickbeard index -- sb's own nn) is probably more than enough for anyone.. but having a backup nn doesn't hurt in case one goes down. then having a 3rd provider that is not a nn is then recommended if you like to dabble in the p2p releases which sometimes are the only ones that you can find due to not being capped by the scene or whatever the reason. really it just depends on what shows/quality you use. if you stick to the major network shows and do SD/HD then you could probably get away with only 1 nn provider.. it's when you start doing those shows that aren't capped you need to expand your search. now for what providers to use.. i'd recommend: use SBI first, then nzb.su/nzbs.org/whatever other nn as 2nd then finally use nzbmatrix/womble/whatever 3rd non nn provider as a last resort. do note that nzbmatrix has been battling random downtime forever now.. and all this without even talking about torrents. - etwintje - 2011-07-12 12:24 thezoggy Wrote:are you trying to d/l non-english shows? Well only 2, the other are shows like southpark or mythbusters and house and bones and csi and stuff. So I don't that could be the problem? - thezoggy - 2011-07-12 23:41 etwintje Wrote:Well only 2, the other are shows like southpark or mythbusters and house and bones and csi and stuff. So I don't that could be the problem? non-english shows are not supported in sb. there are keywords in the source that blacklist dubbed/german/etc releases. - darkscout - 2011-07-13 05:51 Any way we could get a 'scene exception' for American Dad. I have a ton of stuff downloaded but it's way the @#(* out of whack. Meaning I have nothing from the second half of "Season 1" and everything is misnamed and out of order. I may have to just delete it all and start over with as bad as it is. http://forums.thetvdb.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6796&p=26496 http://forums.thetvdb.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6315&p=26576 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_American_Dad!_episodes And of course, the usual bedside manner you would expect from The TVDB: http://forums.thetvdb.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6664&p=25554&hilit=American+Dad#p25554 |
