How do i use paste bin in terminal??I have never used terminal before. As far as I can tell I type in cd move the sick beard folder into terminal run the command python sickbeard.py, all I get when I enter this is -bash: cd/Users/paulkaielder/sickbeard: No such file or directory. That's is all the information that I get in terminal, apolgies if I have not given the correct information

You need a space after 'cd'.

cd = change directory.

Honestly, you need to search for a 'terminal how to' there is a pretty good linux one that is 90% the exact same for Mac. I'd love to help but at this point it's explaining quantum physics to a 12 year old until someone makes a nice pretty package like SABnzbd.

Hi all, for those who want Sabnzbd to work in OpenELEC, wait a little bit longer and a preconfigurated add-on with SAB, Sickbeard and Couchpotato will be available in RC6.

Thanks for the tip on the space after the cd command I then dragged sickbeard into terminal, the hit enter then I ran the command python sickbeard.py it then launched the web browser. I save this with google closed terminal but it won't connect to local host do I have to leave terminal open

Paul

Paul

Once you close terminal, it closes the program (it's just like closing an app).

The way to keep it running after you close the window is to do

Code:
nohup python sickbeard.py &

Up and running with sickbeard I using eztv rss which seems to be working ok

I dunno if this is a good suggestion or not, but I'll put it out there...

What if there was an (OPT-IN) option for Sickbeard to (anonymously) post wanted episodes to the Sickbeard website. Something like (but prettier):

Big Brother US - S04E10 - 123 Wants

If there was a good dataset, tv cappers could look at it to get shows that people really want. The biggest complaint I could see would be the privacy issue, but if you're already using the Sickbeard search provider, your IP is already known. And as long as it was off by default...

It would allow people like me, who have no real worth other than the occasional donation, to assist the TV "scene" by providing feedback.

- darkscout - 2011-07-19 17:30

The "scene" is completely separate from sickbeard development. Sickbeard doesn't have a single search provider, it uses nzbmatrix, nzbrus, etc. You could try a request there.
