gbdesai Wrote:Bit of a new topic here... I am having a problem with NZBMatrix downloads pushed to SABnznd+. When I get a match and it happens to be from NZBMatrix (as all of my shows from last night were). Instead of the NZB file being downloaded and added to the queue, the queue shows "Trying to fetch NZB from [url to NZB of interest here]" if I just copy and past the URL into a browser it immediately downloads the NZB (but then I have to copy it manually to my SABnzbd+ watch folder and then erase the stuck "Trying to fetch" entry. Any ideas on what's causing this?

I'd be happy to post the logs or other details (I am running under Linux) if needed, but thought this might be either common or obvious. Thanks.
When I see this, I simply restart SAB. That fixes it. I think it is more an issue with SAB and NZBmatrix. NZBmatrix allows grabbing either the nzb or a zipped nzb. One of those works better than the other, I just can't remember which atm.

Thanks for the quick reply. Indeed it seems to be a SABnzbd+ problem. I found this discussion over in the SABnzbd forums http://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?topic=3390.0

Seems that they increased the timeout and a few other fixed in 0.5.1RC2 which I just installed. I'll try your suggestion if I still have problems, thanks!

FYI everybody it looks like TVDB has solved their reliability problems! http://forums.thetvdb.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3319

Cool. thanks for the info. maybe I'll just change the time to a value when the box is likely to be running. Would you consider adding a switch so that SB will update when it's started?

Cheers

Sure, please start an issue on google code so I don't forget though.

FYI SickBeard users...

For those who don't already have accounts, Newzbin.com signups are OPEN as of right now. No idea how long it will remain that way.

Get some while it's hot.

newzbin lost their court case though just fyi

Quote:The next hearing in court is mid April. Until then we are required to implement a default policy of blocking movies and TV reports. These will need to be manually authorised by us before they are published. This is cumbersome and, we appreciate, deeply unwelcome. Rest easy that it is temporary and will only last until we can get into court or until we implement a less onerous automatic filter.

stefanwa Wrote:I have two questions:

1. How do you all auto-start SickBeard in Linux (Ubuntu)? For now I start it from the terminal but would like to start it upon login.

I'd like to know this too. I did some research and found 2 different ways but both seemed very difficult. Writing scripts etc.

Add a startup script in /etc/init.d such as "sickbeard" that contains:

Quote:#!/bin/sh
nohup python /home/me/sickbeard/SickBeard.py

sudo chmod it to 755 and add it to the rc scripts via "update-rc.d sickbeard defaults"

There's a slightly more advanced script attached to this ticket: http://code.google.com/p/sickbeard/issues/detail?id=150

Great!
Thanks for the replies.

Yup Newzbin lost the case. All posts to newzbin for movies and tv are being filtered by hand by the admins. You can expect things probably wont be downloading via newzbin anymore (since everywhere else will have them first - if newzbin has them at all)

Lucky sickbeard supports so many alternate index providers Smile

I tried it in Sickbeard and got the message that I had no credit. No way I'd pay for something when there's so many free alternatives.

I have been using sickbeard for a few weeks and love it! One question will you support more folder structures then just season folders and all in one folder? It seems like all you would need is a recursive option so that way sickbeard scans every folder within the show directory including the root folder.

Thanks
