I've been having an issue with the git Sick Beard for the last week or so.

It seems to not respect the season folder flag, so my downloads have been sent to ShowName/1x01/ rather than ShowName/Season 1/1x01.

Also, some shows are not correctly scanned from disk, even those downloaded with Sick Beard. I'm trying to find some errors in the log, but all I get is this when trying to refresh:
Code:
Apr-14 11:24:30 INFO     SHOWQUEUE :: Starting new task: Refresh - South Park
Apr-14 11:24:30 INFO     QUEUE-REFRESH :: Beginning task
Apr-14 11:24:30 INFO     QUEUE-REFRESH :: Performing refresh on South Park

Apr-14 11:24:30 DEBUG    CP Server Thread-8 :: sickbeard.db: SELECT COUNT(*) FROM tv_episodes WHERE season != 0 AND episode != 0 AND airdate <= 733876
Apr-14 11:24:33 INFO     SHOWQUEUE :: Finished performing a task

And for the sake of it, I stuck a season of episodes in a season folder.

There's not really anything to know - the only provider supported is EZTV and if you enable torrents it searches it. Generic RSS search isn't supported at the moment, mostly because EZTV is the only TV torrent RSS site I know of.

If episodes aren't getting put in the right place during post processing then please post a post-processing log and I'll take a look. About episodes not getting found, please post the exact episode naming and folder structure you're using and I will try it myself.

I had to guess, so I assumed you meant a SAB log from a post process. Here's what I have:

Also I just tried moving some episodes from ShowName/Season 1/1x01/ShowName - 1x01 - Blah.avi to ShowName/Season 1/ShowName - 1x01 - Blah.avi and they are scanning now. I assumed the creation of the 1x01 folder was a new feature, so I hadn't tried moving files around until now.

This doesn't seem like a structure Sick Beard would create. Looks to me like you
are using the built-in SABnzbd post-processing and not the post-processing scripts
provided by Sick Beard.

In SABnzbd's configuration, go to the Sorting section and make sure that there
is no checkmark in the "Enable TV Sorting" box.

Then under Categories, make sure the TV category has the Processing set to
sabToSickBeard.py

Whoops, looks like you are correct.

I haven't messed with the SAB settings in a long time, and I have no idea how it got set like that. Seems to be working.

Does anyone know how to join TVBinz?

Thanks

Is this an rss feed delivering torrent of nzb files or actual torrent of video data?

I would like to tell SB of an rss feed that contains torrent files of video data and have SB grab the torrent file and deliever it to a torrent client then port process when complete.

In essence exactly what it does this now with SAB but passing torrents to a separate blackhole etc

Is that possible. There are countless rss feeds of this nature

I've been an XBMC user for a while on my old xbox.

I decided to give the XBMC Live a go on an old notebook I have. Everything installed perfectly on the harddrive, it boots directly into XBMC on startup. I can do everything I used to do on my old xbox. Except that I'm now able to play 720p content!

What I wanted to do is use sickbeard to automatically download episodes. I'm a complete noob in linux, so does anyone have a step by step guide to get this working on an XBMC Live installation? The only thing I can find is how to get it working on an Windows installation of XBMC...

wait until it is not Alpha version and you will see guides popping up

- ClayM - 2010-04-15

Hmm, tried adding Daily Show / Colbert Report, and it's not finding the episodes (with alpha2).

Is there something special you have to do to enable this?

edit: I tried running it through sabToSickBeard.py and it can't figure out what the episode is.

LMAO a torrent of NZBs? No, it is just regular torrent feed for video files. It is exactly what you describe. Feel free to PM me some other torrent examples and I will look into adding them.

As noted in the ticket, the only thing that's supported is downloading the episodes. It can't post process them, find them locally, generate metadata, etc.

Downloading / Searching for them doesn't work Smile

Post a log of the search and PM me a sample of a report that should have been found but wasn't and I'll take a look.

Post-Processing - Pr.Sinister - 2010-04-15

When post-processing an episode of better quality than the one we already
have, Sick Beard will delete the video file but not the .nfo and .tbn files.

That usually is fine if the new file is named the same as the old one but sometimes
that's not the case.

Ah yes I seem to remember thinking I'd fix that later, but I guess I forgot, hehe. Please make a google code issue and I'll fix it tonight or tomorrow.
