mrkennedy, do you have it set to the "blackhole" or set to Sab?
Blackhole will send to a folder while "sab" will go automatically to sab by passing a folder

Just added the sickbeard folder they are poping into as a watched folder and SAB is taking them, but nothing is entered as the folder, as soon as i click TV is auto changes the script to the sabtosickbeard.exe and process fine wirh name change etc.

But how do i tell it to auto grab the nzb without the watched folder, like it was working like before?

If you want to use the blackhole method, simply create a folder under the watched dir and name it as the category you want to use. So your dir will be \watched\tv or \watched\tv shows.

Otherwise set the NZB action to SAB and make sure the default category matches with whatever you have configured in SAB.

Anybody have trouble with The Colony? I added it as a new show this morning, and searched for the episode that aired last night and got no results. I then checked NZBs and see that it exists. Looking at the logs, it seems like Sickbeard is searching an older cache (maybe? I'm not so good at interpreting these things):

thanks guys, overlooked the blackhole section. Changed it to SAB so hopefully it works now.

On another note, is there a way to have banner and poster in the folder? I use banner on XBMC so SB grabs that and looks awful. On new shows i added it adds the poster which looks great, but XBMC then uses that.

Or is there a way to display banner in SB?

Unable to parse the filename RSS Feed Url Changed into a valid episode
Can someone tell me what this means?

I have source dated 26/07/10

- kjn134 - 2010-07-29

mra6368 - I am not 100 +'ve but I think it has to do with NZBMatrix Search API being down.
Disable the NZBMatrix Search Provider and see if the errors go away (re-enable once the search API is back).

- mra6368 - 2010-07-29

Disabled NZBMatrix, will wait and see. If the API key is down, how do i know when it is working again?

The API is fine. The problem was that the RSS URL for NZBMatrix was changed. You need to update to the latest version of SB.

I miss the "missed episodes" in the Coming Episodes screen. Is there an easy way to find Wanted episodes for the last week? My internet was down for awhile, and it's a PITA to figure out which eps were missed.

Ditto.

So, sickbeard just used up a months worth of bandwidth in one night--about 150 gigs.

What happened, is I set the custom quality settings to look for better quality as they appear--Like the "best" setting, but I changed this for to reasons: 1) wanted to specify certain quality, because I don't usually like to get HDTV rips that are huge but have logos all over them, etc., and 2) Some shows are not available in HD right away, and I want new content to be available as immediately as possible.

So anyway, it seems to have started going through my collection and replacing all of my standard def shows with HD ones, which is not what I wanted--some shows are not really worth storing in HD. Is there some way to prevent the custom quality from working retroactively like this? That is, only functioning for shows that sickbeard has actually snatched itself?

- ECEC - 2010-08-01

Couple of things:

- I finally got around to installing Sickbeard from source. What is the recommended way to start the Sickbeard.py file automatically? Also, how do I prevent the python window from opening?

- I'm having a hell of a time finding episodes for some stuff. IT Crows S04E06 exists on NZBs, but Sickbeard won't find it. Same for The Colony S02E01. Other stuff seems to work fine, so I'm not sure what's going on. The log file seems to find the eps but doesn't download them (I think):

Code:
Aug-01 12:43:55 DEBUG    CP Server Thread-4 :: Search string: http://www.nzbs.org/rss.php?q=%5EThe.IT.Crowd.4x06&i=36987&dl=1&num=100&action=search&h=52e8c2e6ab26d3b3af3e787446a5de66&age=500&type=1
Aug-01 12:44:01 DEBUG    CP Server Thread-4 :: Search string: http://www.nzbs.org/rss.php?q=%5EThe.IT.Crowd.S04E06&i=36987&dl=1&num=100&action=search&h=52e8c2e6ab26d3b3af3e787446a5de66&age=500&type=1
Aug-01 12:44:06 DEBUG    CP Server Thread-4 :: Picking the best result out of []
Aug-01 12:44:06 DEBUG    CP Server Thread-4 :: No result picked.
Aug-01 12:44:06 INFO     CP Server Thread-4 :: No downloads were found

- Is there a plan to redo how backlogs are handled? As of right now, I can't see a list of what's in my backlog without going to each individual show. I'd like to be able to manage quality settings for backlogged eps separate from new shows, as well. For example, I want my backlogged eps to be searched for SD DVD, SD TV, and 720p, but I only want new eps searched in HD quality so I don't waste bandwidth.

Edit: CouchPotato, the Sickbeard for movies program, has a setting that controls how long it waits to download a SD copy until an HD version appears. So if it finds a movie you want in SD, it will wait a week and keep looking for an HD copy. If Sickbeard had something like that, it would be perfect.

- It would be excellent if we could have a list of recently aired shows that Sickbeard couldn't find nzbs for. Like I mentioned above, if your internet goes down for a few days, you have to hunt and search through each individual show to search for that episode. Unless you force a backlog search, but that seems like overkill to me.

Please don't take this as negative, Sickbeard has been awesome since I started using it, and the quality stuff is well on its way to upgrading my entire collection of TV shows. Smile

Sick Beard Install, Setup, and Configuration Guide for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx) - Ainer - 2010-08-01

I've updated my guide. It now includes a fully functioning auto-start/stop script with an integrated update function.

I've seen my guide linked to on these forums but I've never made a post about it's release, so for anyone that hasn't checked it out see the link below.

http://www.ainer.org/?p=747

If you've used the guide but haven't seen the new autorun script scroll down to the Autorun section for the details and install instructions.

Cheers,
Ainer

I'm having strange issues with Sick Beard. I've upgraded to the newest release (457), but upon adding my shows, it now misses episodes I've already got, even after I Force a File Rescan.

My episodes are all renamed to the same format, yet it seems to miss loads out. All my episodes are SD and havent changed since the previous release.

I'm also having problems with the Search Providers as well. NZBMatrix have had API problems, I realise this, but NZBS.org keeps throwing up errors like -

Code:
2010-08-02 01:10:23.749000 SEARCH :: Error trying to load NZBs.org RSS feed: no element found: line 1, column 0
2010-08-02 01:10:42.375000 SEARCH :: Error trying to load NZBs.org RSS feed: no element found: line 1, column 0
2010-08-02 01:12:10.219000 CP Server Thread-5 :: Error while searching NZBMatrix, skipping: global name 'data' is not defined
2010-08-02 01:12:10.499000 CP Server Thread-5 :: Error trying to load NZBs.org RSS feed: no element found: line 1, column 0

Any ideas what's gone wrong with these issues? I'm getting hundreds of these.
Also note the 'global name 'data' is not defined' error for NZBMatrix as well...?
