No worries - hope you don't mind I edited your link to display the image.

That is strange the code to pull both images comes from these lines:

Code:
<thumb>$INFO[Window(Home).Property(NextAired.1.Showpath),,folder.jpg]</thumb>

Code:
<icon>special://skin/images/studios/$INFO[Window(Home).Property(NextAired.1.Network),,.png]</icon>

The big banner is the "folder.jpg" and the studio icon is the ".png" - for some reason in your screenshot it's treating both image controls as the thumb rather than the icon.

What version of XBMC are you on?

No problem, Still don't know why I could not display the Image.

As for the version of XBMC. I use a XBMC that I compiled myself. It is the latest version on Git. Version: a39d9d8. It also happened on all the version that I compiled before.

Edit: I also tested a version of XBMC from 3 januari from http://sshcs.com/xbmc/. That build has the same problem

Okay colour me confused - also can I just check what platform you're running on?

- flipje - 2011-02-26

I am on Ubuntu Linux 64 bit.

Could you try this replacement file? Just put it in the 720p folder and let me know if it still has the same bug.

That's actually funny. Mine is doing the exact opposite. It shows the tv thumb as both the banner and the lower right icon. Last git xbmc build for me was about 8 hours ago, does it with both 3.2.1 svn build AND 321 'Back Row(SVN)'. Not sure what might be corrupt, as it's showing the proper banner in wide banner view (normal view i personally use), clear art is showing fine when playing. Manually re-grabbed tv banner, and also refreshed show names. House was properly showing tv banner, but for some reason, most other shows are showing tv thumbnail.

Something probably just needs to be redone, or maybe something is just corrupted in the library file.

The wide icon isn't being pulled from the XBMC library - it's a skin hack really. It's pulling the folder.jpg from within the TV show root folder. So if you have a Poster called folder.jpg in there it's displaying that instead of a banner.

I forget mate are you on Linux as well?

- flipje - 2011-02-26

The file did not work.

I switched from banner to poster view and that made the network logo show up. Unfortunately the banners are now looking bad.

- Sharpe - 2011-02-26

Oh right - the studio icons show up for you with posters - that's good gives me something to work with.

- Sharpe - 2011-02-26

Okay try this one:

Works for me now. Tried banner and poster view. Both work.

- flipje - 2011-02-26

Now that the TV Guide seems to be working, I was browsing through the skin files and found a startup.wav. I was a bit surprised since I never heard a startup sound in Back-Row.

I listened to the file and it seemed to work fine in another player, however in XBMC I heard nothing. I placed another file in the folder from another skin and that worked. I don't now the problem since the file does work in another player and the name of the file is exactly the same as the other file I tried.

All other sounds in the skin seem to work normal.

- Sharpe - 2011-02-27

Yeah weird - it plays fine under a windows xbmc install - I suspect it's another whacky Linux letter case glitch -cheers though I'll look into it and see if I can fix it.

Oh and thanks again for the TV Guide bug spot - appreciate that.

Cheers

- Sharpe - 2011-02-27

Hey it looks like it was a problem with the actual file after all - thanks flipje that one had been bugging me for a while. I think I've fixed it.

- djdafreund - 2011-02-27

Cool, so it's fixed then? I'll try it when i get home. I always use windows builds, and use tv banners. Funny about the startup file. We'll have to come up with a cool startup file actually. I'm good with audio to (DJ on the side) so i'll see if i can come up with something short but cool sounding that will fit. I thought about the sound we USED to use when countdown, but then decided we need to have something a little nicer then just movie projector click sounds and a fade. We'll think more into that. Going on vacation early morning for a week and WELL needed, and deserved.
