- Sharpe - 2011-02-26 21:07 Oh right - the studio icons show up for you with posters - that's good gives me something to work with. - Sharpe - 2011-02-26 21:14 Okay try this one: http://www.mediafire.com/?9p51p14kymlswvq - flipje - 2011-02-26 21:48 Works for me now. Tried banner and poster view. Both work. - flipje - 2011-02-26 22:30 Now that the TV Guide seems to be working, I was browsing through the skin files and found a startup.wav. I was a bit surprised since I never heard a startup sound in Back-Row. I listened to the file and it seemed to work fine in another player, however in XBMC I heard nothing. I placed another file in the folder from another skin and that worked. I don't now the problem since the file does work in another player and the name of the file is exactly the same as the other file I tried. All other sounds in the skin seem to work normal. - Sharpe - 2011-02-27 00:41 Yeah weird - it plays fine under a windows xbmc install - I suspect it's another whacky Linux letter case glitch -cheers though I'll look into it and see if I can fix it. Oh and thanks again for the TV Guide bug spot - appreciate that. Cheers - Sharpe - 2011-02-27 02:11 Hey it looks like it was a problem with the actual file after all - thanks flipje that one had been bugging me for a while. I think I've fixed it. - djdafreund - 2011-02-27 03:55 Cool, so it's fixed then? I'll try it when i get home. I always use windows builds, and use tv banners. Funny about the startup file. We'll have to come up with a cool startup file actually. I'm good with audio to (DJ on the side) so i'll see if i can come up with something short but cool sounding that will fit. I thought about the sound we USED to use when countdown, but then decided we need to have something a little nicer then just movie projector click sounds and a fade. We'll think more into that. Going on vacation early morning for a week and WELL needed, and deserved. - ppic - 2011-02-27 04:06 good work on tvguide
- djdafreund - 2011-02-27 04:51 I was just checking out new changes, and the weird thing is for example, i don't have any images in my simpsons folder, or season's subfolder's, but it's still showing the one in the example shot i made above. Don't even KNOW where it's getting that folder, although i did try to do a clean database function, but didn't change anything. The other's are also still showing some thumbnail instead of the banner, and no folder.jpg images are in any of the show folders. Not sure what else to true. For the intro sound, let's see what kind of idea's for a new one (not in any hurry BTW to replace it, just on the 'TO DO' lists.), but for now, i am going to revamp it a little, and run some filter's on it, and add a little more of the projector sound length, with a slightly longer fade effect on it though to balance. Crisp up the high's while i'm add it. I enjoy doing audio-video stuff. Art is a big part of my life since a kid.
- Sharpe - 2011-02-27 09:13 Try deleting your Textures.db file from within userdata\database\ - that should reset the texture cache. Looking forward to hearing what you come up with! |
