I am a newbie, three days old, I have just found out you could down an addon

install it, it has "Azdrama" in it, you can watch TVB dramas and news as well as some Taiwan and Korean drama.
Good quality too!

LeTV on ATV2 seems to be doing this lately:
if picking movies, it'd retrieve 20 items out of 15, but it'd return the items for selecting.
if picking TV, it'd attempt to retrieve 20 items out of 15, but it'd get stuck and I'd be forced to restart my ATV2.

Anybody else experiencing the same issue?

I tested LETV on both windows 7 and Ubuntu, it always retreive 15 items and works OK.
Not sure if the site detects ATV2 and redirects it to another site.

By the way how do you find out the plugin is trying to retireve 20 items out of 15. Can you post the relevant xbmc.log info where the error occur?

Sorry if I am repeating any previous question but I am a complete noob on xbmc and have been spinning empty cycles on trying to get PPStream to work for the past week (PPTV works now after a couple of re-installations to my current setup of Frodo on Windows 8 with the Chinese Add-Ons).

A couple of specific questions that I hope you can help:

(1) Do we still need to install PPStream software first in order for the ppstream plugin to work properly? I tried that last night but still didn't work so uninstalled it....My ppstream plugin is version 2.2.7 but I noticed that the notes in version 2.0.8 stated that the software must be installed first.

(2) Is there anything in the log attached that indicates why the PPStream is not working? And how do I troubleshoot the installation pls? But bearing in mind that this log was taken without the PPStream software installed so if that is required, I need to recapture the log extracted below.

Please ensure you have also the script.module.keyboard.chinese-1.2.8.zip module from
http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-addons-chinese/downloads/list
installed on your system. This is required by the plugin.

1. Actually you can use the ppstream plugin without installing the ppstream application by unselect the "Use PPStream Player" option in the Add-on Settings. However it is meant for non-Windows platforms like Linux OS system. The video playback is not smooth without the ppstream installation especially when the ppstream site is overloaded during evening time when many users are accessing the site.

You can check your plugin is installed properly by the above method. If it failed, I proposed you uninstalled, then re-installed the plugin again.

For Windows system it is advised to have the ppstream application pre-installed. For smooth video playback, the plugin uses the ppstream player i.e. PowerPlayer.dll from the ppstream application installed directory "C:/Program Files/PPStream". However the ppstream application installed must have version PPS 2.7.0.1516 or lower. The plugin is not compatible with PPS影音 Version 3 release as it hides the PowerPlayer from third party application.

After the ppstream application installation, you can verify it is installed properly by launching the ppstream PPS影音 outside xbmc.

2. The debug message indicates it is more than just the ppstream plugin problem. Actually you do not need to enable the xbmc debug opiton for plugin debug/log messages. The xbmc debug option is meant for xbmc main application debugging.

Note: You may wish to install the "PPS影音(PPS.TV)" plugin (must have ppstream application pre-installed). This plugin has faster UI response time when the site is busy.

I have an issue with the PPTV plugin. Does anybody notice the contents difference between this plugin and the actual PPTV software?

I am watching dragon ball recently, and I can find "龙珠国语版", so I want to watch it with the Chinese language. In PPTV software, it has both Chinese and Japanese version, and I can watch either one. But in xbmc with this plugin, search result shows both, but the videos in both "龙珠国语版" and "七龙珠" collection are Japanese version, I can't find the Chinese version.

Not a big deal, but since I'm using Linux, I need to open windows VM to run PPTV software, it's a hassle, and also the download in xbmc seems to be slow, and stutters frequently.

I'm running Linux Mint 14 with Frodo installed, the plugin should be up to date. Anyone has idea why this is happening? Thanks.

hi. looks like this thread hasn't been visited in awhile. but I was wondering if anyone tried the QVOD add-on that OP used to have available. I am looking at creating a chinese add-on that is able to stream links that require the qvodplayer.

Back in Feb 2012, I was trying to update the qvod plugin, but found that most the qvod sites in the plugin did not exist anymore.
Also the qvod4xbmc.exe was incompatible with the then latest qvoid player. There is no source code for qvod4xbmc.exe.
Not sure if the qvod4xbmc.exe can be built from by modifying ps4xbmc source which is currently available in the xbmc-addon-chinese svn trunk.
I did not follow up after that.

Regexing out the url seems to work, let me make a patch.

This Chinese Plugin is very cool. Great work.
However, some of the plugin is out of dated - first one is the CNTV. Their website has changed quite a lot, no 'Bugu' or 'Xiyou' now.
So most of the functions CNTV plugin doesn't work. I would like to help on this - but don't know how to join you.
