My question is simple! images that are in my contacts in IPHONE will migrate to the xbmc? or have to copy to the pc?
About the log already posted ... and you saw the error! when I try to open the image for the event web image appears!

This appears to be an issue with the newer Dharma builds - I'm not getting images either. The whole http api has been deprecated, so I don't see it being fixed unless johoja switched to the json rpc.

Edit: johoja - the command still works, it just doesn't seem to like the special://temp/ path. I'm not seeing the png's getting written to appdata/roaming/xbmc/cache like they used to be...

Thanks,

ok I did follow your advise and install notify.io...
yes.. it works inmediately.. however.. when an SMS comes in I can see the popup notification, I click on it to REPLY

and it opens safari.. http://10.0.1.xx:8080/%2B58%2PHONENUMBER%269490
and sort of freeze there for long time... (like loading something....) but does nothing...

what should I do to make it work?

by the way... it makes me download and install 'Desktop Notifier' AND is this last app which show the popup windows..

i haven't change anything on the notify.io settings.... do I need to change something?

Not that I'm aware of, no you shouldn't have to change anything. WiFi has to be enabled on your phone and connected to the same network as your PC for the reply to SMS feature to work.

Thanks,

I was able to get it to create files using the special://temp path ..... hrm. What does the syslog & xbmc.log say when it tries to upload the file ?

I'm not sure the new json rpc lets you do notifications with images and / or upload images.

end of syslog:

Complete log here: http://pastebin.ca/1980052 - Note that there was a second xbmc machine configured in there - I have since removed it and still no image.

There is no stoli.png in the cache folder... Huh

Edit: Just has a text come in and a pic displayed... There was an existing png in the folder for that contact, so it seems that it's NotifyPro that isn't sending over the image for one reason or another.

- iorifly - 2010-11-12

no solution to the problem yet?

- stoli - 2010-11-12

it appears johoja is not around this week...

As a temporary 'fix' your can manually save images to the \cache folder with the same name as they appear on the iphone and they will be displayed.

Stoli,

Could you do a

Quote:hxxp://127.0.0.1/xbmcCmds/xbmcHttp?command=FileExists(special://temp/Stoli.png)

Does it return a true or false?

And your saying the file doesn't exist ? -- I'd like to know if it returns true even if the files not there, or if it returns false...maybe i'm not reading back the response correctly (maybe it changed in dharma slightly) ...

Because in the logs I see it does a FileExists, and immediately does a Notification, no FileUpload ...so NP things the file is there otherwise the NP Log would state its uploading the file or something along those lines.

Sorry for the delay I'm always around Smile just been busy -- getting married soon & and work have taken a lot of my time recently.

- stoli - 2010-11-13

Always returns true....

Congrats on getting married!

Even if it doesn't exist...

stoli Wrote:Even if it doesn't exist...

That's weird......I would say that's a bug in XBMC but I can't reproduce it here locally....I'm running an older build though which one are you running and what OS.

- stoli - 2010-11-13

I stand corrected - I should never test and post after drinking. :-) It does report false if the image is not there.

Dharma 4 on Win7

Johoja,

How about skipping the if exist and always upload the image? I tend to update contact photos pretty often and this would not be reflected with your current setup.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I used to do that on older versions of NP i went with this approach becuase uploading a pic on 3G takes a while Sad so i did it so save time from received notification...to displayed notification...

I can make a 'always upload pic' option to the xbmc settings...think that should be fair...?

- stoli - 2010-11-14

That would be perfect.
