Hi!

I'm very interesting into Notify Pro (not in XBMC really) and this forum is the only site i find to ask about.

Well, here is my scenario:

I have a hackintosh (leopard) into the car, pluged with a 7" TFT and an iPhone 4.

I want to see incoming calls into the 7" tft; handsfree goes to parrot, not necessary nothing else than show the info at the display.

Well; i have a bt dongle, but iphone 4 dont want to appear with it; i can see it, put the pin code, but never connects. Then BPE2 and Phone Amego is not a suitable solution.

Here is where Notifi Pro appear. But... if i plug a wifi into my hackintosh, i cant use Airport (is not made by apple) and i cant to create my wifi into Leopard (use it as router and then connect with iPhone 4)

Is any way to connect Notify Pro with a mac (well, hackintosh)? bt? usb?

You could try a ad-hoc wifi network

Ad-hoc with Airport is easy to do, but i dont have a wifi adapter made by apple and i need to use Ralink Wireless Utility wich cant create a network in ad-hoc mode.

I'm looking about create it from console, but not sure where osx store networks configurations files to edit.

Maybe something like this:

ifconfig en3 up 192.168.200.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 mode ad-hoc essid MyWifi

Hi all!

With Ralink utility i can create ad-hoc wireless Smile

Now i have mac as 192.168.2.1 and iphone as 192.168.2.2

At Growl Settings:

Code:
192.168.2.1:23052
Password
All on except Use UDP

Into Mac:

Code:
Networks
Listen for incoming notifications
Allow remote...
Password

But not shows any growl notify Sad

Ok, needs to use UDP on Mac! Smile

Pretty sure that when you configure a host it says 'Use for Mac'....mac growl does not support GNTP only UDP.

Hi, first: Great APP!

but, is it possible to set a Variable under Notify Settings in the Email URL Field like
Email URL: http://something/index.php?number=$number

so that it will look like this

http://something/index.php?numer=+1234567

where $number is the number calling

Thanks...but if you get an email.....why would you have a phone number? Incoming emails don't have phone numbers....? Or did you want an incoming email to do a lookup in the address book and see if that user has a phone number, and then send that ?

REquest for Assistance - ernbl - 2010-12-07 14:12

Hello!

This is a great app and I would very much like to buy it but I can't seem to get the free version to work.. I've installed notify and set the IP and port with user and pass properly but it won't send to my xbox.

I tested my ability to recieve notifications with the following:
xxxxhttp://192.168.1.105:80/xbmcCmds/xbmcHttp?command=ExecBuiltIn(Notification(testing[/url], testing123))xxxx

(I added the xxx's so that the URL would display in this post)

and it worked... it sent a mesg to my xbox. So I sent a text to myself, the return text came to my iphone but nothing on the xbox so I checked the syslog and it showed the following:

Dec 7 03:57:54 Masters-iPhone SpringBoard[28]: -------------Notify: SMS Notification
Dec 7 03:57:54 Masters-iPhone SpringBoard[28]: number: 333-33
Dec 7 03:57:54 Masters-iPhone SpringBoard[28]: text: 54408 [239] 05:49a 06:08a 06:23a 06:33a [236] 06:21a [240] 06:21a Thank you from TransLink for being TravelSmart
Dec 7 03:57:54 Masters-iPhone SpringBoard[28]: preSendXbmc

I'm running a "tech" build of xbmc dated July/Aug 2010 and am using the confluence skin. I am using Iphone 4 (4.1) with Notify installed.

Any help would be appreciated as..again.. I am very much looking forward to getting this working and purchasing your app.

Thanks in adviance!!!Smile

The free version has not been updated for more than a year, I'm doubtful that it works with iOS4. I don't have the source code for it anymore so can't update it either.

I know the pay version does work, many of the users here use it.

p.s. I like that people keep posting on this thread it reminds me to do updates to the app... LOL.
