I burned an xbmc livecd but I can't find anyplace on the boxee to insert it
I know I'm just overlooking something stupid.I feel like I'm soooooo close!!

I'm not seeing where anyone has tried or failed. There is no package manager, but what happens when you try to run custom software?
I would if someone would post how to root on the latest firmware. Currently someone has figured it out but aren't releasing till next firmware update.

This is from the version released in november. If you want support on newer versions, don't upgrade until they've been properly documented. If you are participating in this conversation and upgraded to the version which was released 7 days ago, then you're probly SOL. The older stuff is always better for finding security voulnerabilities. Patches and updates are released to take care of security voulnerabilites.

And that's why we're all here on this thread, if only it were that easy. Well, time to upgrade my Nvidia based boxes with 10.0, a little frustrated they introduced an HDMI audio bug that needs a command line fix on some hardware.

disconnect your box from the ethernet, than you can do a factory reset.
After the first boot, connect your box to the Internet (only Wireless),
and voila, your on ver. 0.9.
With Wlan connection, the update will not be enforced.
Disable Screensaver on your seetings, because of update popups.

wlan connection is used only for the first setup.
after you have configured your box, you can change to ethernet.

Any plans to port XBMC to the boxee box?
The reason I'm asking is the Boxee Box software leaves allot to be desired and XBMC is way more powerful.
They have the Boxee box source code release for the intel adam CPU thats used here:

guys - once again - can somebody compile xbmc to test working it on boxeebox?
i need all of xbmc components binaries and .xbmc-files will be in one drive (flash-dongle or sd-card).
I have 16126 version of BoxeeBox software with telnet and ssh (Thanks a lot for boxeeboxwiki) and can kill boxee and start any binaries. I have external usb-ir receiver and remote. I`ve been waiting for running version of xbmc.

NO it will not be actively ported to Boxee until numerous things happen first.
So NO it will not happen. It's been stated and restated 1000 times on this and other threads.
