What you did to the homescreen is exactly what this skin is missing so I'm going to try and customize it to do these things without effecting the other parts of the skin. Would replacing the home.xml exactly work?

oh..and is there a kiosk menu option I might have missed (so people can't change my settings in the various views by accident?) basically I want to be able to disable the option to press up to get the options bar in a view.

On your mod you press OK and it takes you to the movies and you have to press the up arrow to show the sub menu. This is how it should be and you nailed it. I also love the little shaky effect that takes place.
