How can i upgrade from v8??

- fidoboy - 2010-01-25

Just another question, it could be possible to install it WITHOUT apache2? this is because i need to install XAMPP and i prefer to make a single installation with all features in my web server...

nice in v9 the Menu-click-sound is back.

was missing in v8 on my Zotac ION F

Hi

Problems up to V8

ION 330HT still no sound. Missing /etc/asound.conf

No ION 330HT lirc drivers installed at all despite being advertised they are.

Installation will not work without user being other than xbmc see my posts before. (if you select other user it will install two xbmc's one as default xbmc user which wont get used and the secondary which will work but no mods will be installed at all.

suggestion.

make sure all other optionals are made optional during install e.g. ftp server, apache server, skins, wifi etc. (not everyone will want to add this)

make sure that install still performed correctly even if other user name is created.

Allow configuration of ftp server.

Wow!

Thanks alot for your efforts. Im impressed.

erhnam,

With Google transtaltion, it says my XBMC Live box needs to be at IP 192.168.0.110
Is this true for Blu-Ray to work ?

Is Blu-Ray included in the v9 package ?

Thanks

dualboot disk - mross22 - 2010-01-26

erhnam Wrote:Just put v9 online Smile

WOW! Thank you again! A few questions as I await my Asrock 330 HT in the mail from Newegg -

1. does your dualboot download from either the first page of the forum or your website always contain the most cutting-edge build?

2. On your site, you wrote the following:

The various Web services are running behind apache webserver. Komt de media center op onder het ip-adres 192.168.0.110, dan zijn sabnzb, transmission en mt-daapd te bereiken (met xbmc als username en xbmc als wachtwoorden) op de volgende adressen: Does the media center, among the IP address 192.168.0.110, then sabnzb, transmission and mt-daapd to reach (as with xbmc xbmc as username and passwords) to the following addresses:

http://192.168.0.110/sabnzbd/ http://192.168.0.110/sabnzbd/

http://192.168.0.110/transmission/ http://192.168.0.110/transmission/

http://192.168.0.110/mt-daapd/ http://192.168.0.110/mt-daapd/

does this mean the asrock needs to have a fixed IP address of 192.168.0.11, or can it be DCHP?

3. Am I prompted to make user XBMC during setup?

thank you for all you are doing -

Quick question, easily answered I am sure Wink

Is there a quick step by step on how to install this if we are already running XBMCLive 9.11 Camelot?
