haiiyaa Wrote:hmm., that's strange. Isn't xbmcfreak based on xbmclive build? the live build detected the lan network card (i haven't tested the wlan yet). It's sad that this build won't recognize my card.

not sure then, i just tested the original live build and my spare acer ant it did not find network card either, odd.

maybe i read it wrong, might have been because there was no cable plugged in and it could not get ip.

will have to check again.

FYI, I'm also using Acer Revo Ion 330 and had no issues with hardware detection. Still some W7/Samba issues and problems with Transmission but its a great distro

Methanoid Wrote:Whats the SAB password? The INI says no username or password but the box asks for one.

EDIT: Fixed by several reboots. No idea why!!!

Likewise with Transmission the thread above says the web interface should be at http://192.168.0.103:9091/ but Transmission web interface is supposed to be at http://192.168.0.103:9091/transmission/web

Either way both for me fail

403: Forbidden
Unauthorized IP Address.
Either disable the IP address whitelist or add your address to it.

If you're editing settings.json, see the 'rpc-whitelist' and 'rpc-whitelist-enabled' entries.

If you're still using ACLs, use a whitelist instead. See the transmission-daemon manpage for details.

Did you change the RPC whitelist as I am trying from a local machine to access the Transmission (and SAB) UI's but cannot. I want to be able to access them from work or a friends house

EDIT: Tried changing settings.json to change rpc-whitelist-enabled to false but didnt work... Ideas?

Transmission is fixed in my latest live version (v8). I no longer have the connected refused problem. At the moment I'm looking into sabnzbd issues, which seems to run but I can't connect either..

Quote:Whats the bLue ray script going to add? :confused2:

This will allow you to play blu-ray by using a script.

Quote:EDIT: The W7 networking fix seems to be in there (as you hinted) but although I can see the XBMCLive machine I cannot see any files shareable. When I added the W7 fix myself to V5 I managed to overwrite my SMB.conf. I wonder if the sharing of home/xbmc/videos etc folders has gone?

I forgot to put the smb.conf into the correct place. This is fixed in v8.

Quote:Final question: Is it possible to rename the XBMCLive machine on network. I have 2 Ions currently (maybe a 3rd soon!) and its confusing which is which!!!Big Grin

To change the hostname type: "hostname yourname"

Yeh i use it mainly on my Asrock 330, was selling my acer revo and thought i would stick it on there for the buyer. All installed now and working great.

Cheers

Many tanks mason! I've it working now!

Now i'm trying to solve XBMC resolution problem... It seems that current scripts doesn't detect the native res for my TV correctly...

What is you're TV looking like when you say it's not detecting the resolution?

Did you do a Video Calibration to ensure there is no overscan? :confused2:

- fidoboy - 2010-01-22

Native res for my TV is 1366x768 but now XBMC is using 1280x720, and yes i've checked the video calibration, but it doesn't allow resolution higher than 1280...

To access sabnzbd on v7, I had to edit sabnzbd.ini and change ip to 0.0.0.0, port to 9000 and then restart sab.

thats the native res for pc input, hdmi input will always choose the correct native hd res (720p or 1080p) i think.
