I've already asked this on this forum (this thread: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=127840), still no response so it seems there are no plans to add 3d support as yet.

There is the elupus patch which handle SBS and OU included split gui, but it doesn't work well yet. The problem is in display video (split pictures to opengl viewport). I have been trying solve it, but first I'm new on c++, second I have not time to analyze it.
If any who programm on c++ solve it I can send this patch.

is any of the 3d code/support added/to-be in frodo?
