I am running into the problem where when I try to play the bluray, the computer would hang. The drive starts to read the disc but then after a few minutes would stop. Nothing can be done and I need to restart the computer.

Reading previous posts seems like other people have seen similar problem but I am not certain how they overcome the it.

I am running the following
Ubuntu 10.04
XBMC dharma
makemkv 32 bit Version 1.6.8
plugin from http://www.bultsblog.com/plugin.makemkvbluray.zip

Guidance is appreciated!

Increase the buffer-size inside the addon-settings and I guess it will work ,-0

Does it works also with DVD UDF filesystem whitin mkv video file?

Really wish I could get this working. For some reason every time I hit "play disc" I get a pop up that says "MakeMKV Console stopped working".
MakeMKV works fine by itself... just not paired with XBMC.

Hello...
sorry for the begginer question :-)
i can't fine this:
"Unzip/Install the plugin in your plugin/video path to make it act as a video plugin"
i dont have in the XBMC this kind of folder (win 7 x64)
where is this folder?

I bought a Shuttle XS35GTV2 and installed OpenELEC for ION x64 RC5.
I am trying to get this addon to work but I failed Sad

I installed the makeMKV-plugin for openELEC and I can run it in the ssh console just fine. But as soon as I hit the button Video->Video Addons->Bluray Player with makemkv->PlayDisc nothing happens and XBMC just locks up.
This is my xbmc.log:
http://pastebin.com/hKDcpSiP

I thought the problem is that makeMKV cannot be found but the strange thing is even if I uninstall makeMKV completely the behavior is just the same. So I think it is not even coming to the point where it executes makemkv.

Any ideas or any hints how I could find out whats wrong? Thank you!

I have it working now. It turned out it was a problem with OpenELEC's makemkv-addon. makemkvbluray was not able to start makemkv correctly and was waiting for it endlessly...

In case someone has the same problem:

Decrease loading time (is it possible????) - gpborges - 2011-08-18

Hi folks, this plugin works great but my only complain is about the loading time... :-( (I know it waits makemkv do its things... )

So.. regarding this:

o Seconds to wait for stream -> Tell the script how long it should wait for makemkv to finish parsing the disc/iso before calling it quits and exiting. Default is 2 minutes.

Is there a way to speed this up? Maybe decrease this to 30 secs? Would it be possible to start watching the movie as it gets decrypted? I mean, instead of wait the full disc decription, to start watching it while it gets decrypted (similar as it happens with general media streaming.. you don't need to wait the movie to fully load before you start watch it..)

This is just questions, comments, and don't know if such thing is possible. I'm always looking for a solution to smoothly play a bluray disc in Linux around 15~20 seconds... However, I've never find it and I don't know if it's possible yet...

Thx in advance!
