iso or img?

provide debug logs when posting problems perhaps?

If you are unsure where/what the logs are, here is the wiki entry.

http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Log_File

On XP, look in C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\XBMC\ make sure you can see hidden files and folders or Application Data won't show up.

Use a website like http://pastebin.com/ to post them.

I had this problem too.

I found that the latest XBMC requires a graphics card powerful enough to handle Pixel Shading greater than or equal to 2.0. My laptop is from about 2004 and I found my card only handled Pixel Shading 1.3. Unless you downgrade to an old XBMC I think we are fresh out of luck until we get new cards.

Or you can try updating your Directx drivers, but this didn't help for me.

It'd also be helpful if you could share your system specs.

Oh, and perhaps try using some punctuation next time.
