- manxam - 2011-01-13 Looks like he may have had to place it that way due to the dimensions of the base of the TV: It's larger in rear than front. The exact opposite of the stand in it's correct rotation. - pecinko - 2011-01-13 IMHO, TV base is 180 deg. rotated, too. Edit: Nope, it seams manxam is right - base seams fine, at least judging from pictures found on internet. Interesting. My base looks just opposite - rear base part is longer than front. - Superorb - 2011-01-13 I have an LG TV where the back is larger than the front just like the one in the pictures. Can't rotate 180 either. - ryan03rr - 2011-01-13 new setup... c2d @3.7ghs 11.0tb 1kw p.s. (remote is a pronto tsu 7500) lights dim with remote 7.1 over toslink. and much much more.. more pics coming soon.. master bedroom has similar setup style in red.( no giant media server... just a client box micros 2.4 c2d) office has 155" mitsu.. projector setup drivin by a atom micro box. 20k plus in hardware... and i dont even have a cable bill.. - Superorb - 2011-01-13 ^^ Pretty cool, but your PC is grossly overpowered for an HTPC setup. - ryan03rr - 2011-01-13 Superorb Wrote:^^ Pretty cool, but your PC is grossly overpowered for an HTPC setup.i wouldnt really say so. minimum power reqirements for that buildout needed 650w i wanted a machine that was a main htpc. 8 channel dvr. webserver. samba server and take care of home automation.( e.g. runs a/c heater and more based on current kwh prices).... it had to be on 24/7 and not really get too stressed out. id rather had a demon running at 30% load / that something like my 2.4 c2d at 80% tho i agree with you on 1 fact...its noisy... and a water setup its almost impossible in my current config in my current case - Superorb - 2011-01-13 There's no way you need something that powerful for an HTPC. I'm running a 10 year old Pentium 3 with a newer video card and it plays 1080p fine. 8-channel DVR as in 8 tuners? They should all be hardware encoding anyways so CPU isn't a huge concern there either. Everything else isn't super CPU intensive so again, slightly overkill. I laugh at 1KW PSU too. Even people that run Folding boxes off 4 power hungry video cards don't consume that much power. But it's already built, so no point arguing here - ryan03rr - 2011-01-13 hope you like....... fuck arguing (took all that bulshit out)......i love it - Superorb - 2011-01-13 ^^ You need to relax man. Yes, of course your top of the line box will crush my 10 year old CPU, that should be pretty obvious. The only thing my HTPC box does is XBMC, that's it. So, it doesn't need to be a power monger. I could afford several of your builds, but why waste the money if it is not needed? Yes, you may have two BD drives and lots of encoders, but do you ever run EVERYTHING at once to consume that much power? Yes, computers may need more power than before, but an additional hard drive will consume an extra 5-10watts of juice. Your 8 channel encoder doesn't require hundreds of watts to run. Your CPU will consume MAYBE 150watts at full load. Have you hooked up a meter to measure how much power you're actually drawing from the wall? I bet you'll be surprised. - ryan03rr - 2011-01-13 Superorb Wrote:^^ You need to relax man. Yes, of course your top of the line box will crush my 10 year old CPU, that should be pretty obvious. When i can easily afford a tsu 9500 ill get rid of the pos logitech in my master bedroom and dedicate the 7500 to there. will be posting the config file in the supplemental tools section.. just incase any of the sick setups in this thread are using phillips remotes.there is about 40 pages in this config in total . as soon as i get my 9500 ill work on a port to that. please dont tell me that my remote is overkill to.....lol of course i dont need it. - pecinko - 2011-01-13 ryan03rr Wrote:please dont tell me that my remote is overkill to.....lol of course i dont need it.
