Yes, they aren't cheap, but they come with built-in IR ports and a really nice wireless keyboard and mouse. Plus I like the form factor. - NotShorty - 2011-05-16 18:14 Parhelion Wrote:Also since I used XBMC to replace the DVD player and digital set top box, I haven't decided what to do with the vacant spaces in the entertainment unit. Put your dvd cases inside your tv stand and put your xbmc box and 360 in the vacant spaces. Done.

I could do that with the XBMC box, although I do like the jaunty angle while using the base. But I have experimented with the 360 in the space and find that it runs too hot if it does not have completely unrestricted airflow. - myjonboy - 2011-05-27 18:09 Parhelion Wrote:I have a small form-factor Ubuntu home server with the following: Nice setup. I've edited the xml file for the main menu to add some custom categories. There is a guide for it here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=89678 Cheers! - TheCableGuy_69 - 2011-06-19 15:25 Well first post here and this is my setup. Been using XBMC for last two years and love it and even more importantly the wife loves it too. Got tired of having to look at all the cables and equipment under the TV so moved everything under the stairs and just have an infrared relay to control everything with a Logitech Harmony One. ![]() Main TV: Panasonic TXP42V10 Plasma Denon AVR1911 Receiver Boston Acoustics Soundware XS Acer Revo R3610 running XBMC Live Playstation 3 Logitech Harmony One Bedroom TV Hitachi 42" Plasma Acer Revo R3610 Nintedo Wii Home Server AMD Athlon X4 610e 8Gb DDR3 5 x1.5Tb Samsung Spinpoint F2 EcoGreen Supermicro AOC-USAS-L8I SAS Card Intel PRO1000 Dual Port NIC Zalman Enslosure with 8 HotSwap Bays Server runs ESXi with 3VMs - Freenas for storage, Ubuntu for SabNZB, Sickbeard, CouchPotato, Caliber and soon to be TV server if I can get USB Passthrough to work without any hiccups for Tevii S660, also have Smoothwall VM. All cabling in house is CAT6e run up to the attic where the home server lives. - Superorb - 2011-06-19 17:04 I hate living in an apartment. I can't run anything through the attic, and I have to be very sneaky about holes in walls. I'll likely have to use wireless for the next place in a few weeks
