Hope you don't mind SlaveUnit, just happened to be here at the right time Seems to be a whole load of these:- ERROR: DXVA - unable to find new unused buffer among other DXVA reported errors. - elupus - 2010-04-28 Yup, shows what i expected. Okey will see how to solve those. Technically the file is reporting to be using less buffers than it really needs - steelman1991 - 2010-04-28 Cheers mate - this in my system anyway (well with the exception of WASAPI playback being reinstated), is the final piece in my jigsaw. Thanks - eemiill32 - 2010-04-28 I've got the problem with the 1 forward 2 back picture, but it only seems to be in specific movies. Tried the latest SVN build from a Clean reinstall aswell, same thing. Want me to fix a debug log? havent done it before, but proberly not too hard. Best Regards Emil - nathanblgos - 2010-04-28 SlaveUnit Wrote:Your closest thing if you want to use DXVA(1) is to use the DSPlayer build. Although that is sort of an external player still. thanks that worked but the video playback was choppy , guess I'll have to install windows 7 on the weekend. I might try get classic media center working as the external player and see if that is better. - steelman1991 - 2010-04-28 nathanblgos Wrote:thanks that worked but the video playback was choppy , guess I'll have to install windows 7 on the weekend.Yo wanna do that? check here http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=70727 - elupus - 2010-04-28 eemiill32: No need i now what the issue is - Rand Al Thor - 2010-04-28 CrystalP Wrote:I started looking into the refresh rate switching & DXVA. The problem is linked to the D3D device resets and various parts of XBMC not completely stopping before the device is back to a usable status - and on top of that, sometimes XBMC gets stuck in an infinite loop where the device can't be brought back to life. Hey Elupus, Just so it doesn't get lost in the mix, it looks like CrystalIP has been doing some work on the refresh issues. From the 10.4 changelog: ATI Catalyst can now playback 5.1 level streams on all supported players - Hun73r - 2010-04-28 Mallet21 Wrote:Are ATI folks still having issues even after updating Catalyst to 10.4? Just don't try and play high bit rate raw H264 remuxes - though it is being looked into Generally though I changed as well to the very card you have and have been very happy so far with its performance. - poofyhairguy - 2010-04-28 Hitcher Wrote:Finally gave up on my ATI and got myself a GeForce GT 240 and can happily say DXVA is working perfectly. Yet another OS that ATI fails at giving us a working XBMC. At some point XBMC should just hit up NVIDIA for sponsorship. - steelman1991 - 2010-04-28 poofyhairguy Wrote:Yet another OS that ATI fails at giving us a working XBMC. Hardly XBMC's fault that ATI's driver support is so crappy and restrictive. Perhaps better venting your frustration at ATI's devs rather than here |
